How you feeling about that Idiot this morning? Seems to me like he's making a hell of a lot of sense at this point.
thought this needed a bump. not that I think it is a foregone conclusion that the Bills will be better than the Jets at the end of the season, but it was just completely asinine to say there was no way the Bills might be, making anyone who would make such a claim an idiot.
Yall morons calling me out. haha! I stand by my word! Keys Jenkins staying healthy less conservative playcalling Favre and troops gelling together Week 12- I want you guys to bring this thread back alive. I won't laugh!!!!
You won't have to laugh. Although you might be crying ! Buffalo has already beaten Jax and Cleveland looks like shit so far. Otherwise their schedule is the same as ours.
and you'll probably stand by your word if the Bills do win the AFC East. I'm not sure how you think that reflects highly of you or your rationale.
clearly another bump is needed as Buffalo plays consistently good football and the Jets play like a team that will finish with nothing more than a .500 record. good teams put together long strings of wins and beat teams they are supposed to beat. average teams play like the Jets are this season, win a couple in a row, even look good doing it against a good team or two like Arizona, but can't maintain that for very long and lose to teams they should be better than. over the course of the season, the Jets will be better than the Raiders, but because they are only an average team, they aren't able to maintain that consistency for many games in a row.
I don't think Buffalo playing the way they are should surprise too many people. They've had a decent team for years now, they've just never been able to turn the corner. They've still gotta get through their division games though, and I don't expect any of the east teams to roll over for them.
With the way this year has gone, it wouldn't shock me that they somehow lose to all 3 division opponents back to back to back. Its feasible... but then again the Jets might be the win for them in the middle of that 3 game stretch.... ugh.
this season nothing is going to surprise me anymore. i could just as easily see buffalo beating all 3 afc east teams and taking total control of the division. its just a crazy year in the nfl.
I like how the Bills have been building their team up for years, they've had two great drafts the past two years. Last year they got Lynch, Posluzny (sp?), and Edwards with their first three picks. This year they've brought in MacKelvin and Hardy, two guys that could make their team even better if they develop. Hardy specifically provides them with a huge (6'7") redzone target. Their FA spendings haven't been huge, but they've done well bringing in Stroud and Mitchell (someone I would have liked the Giants to keep). Having said all that I still think you have to give the Jets the edge right now. For this season, and probably the next, the Jets are the more talented team. This window is closing, however, because Favre will leave at some point and Edwards will continue to improve as a QB. The Jets need to beat them to assert themselves in the division.
Hate to say it but the Bills will most likely win the AFC East, possibly 1st round bye who knows, but I still say the jets will make the playoffs via wildcard.
Oh I have no question in my mind that we are the more talented team right now. But I'm definitely not giving us the edge. Our shitty coaching completely negates any talent edge we have and actively mismanages it.
Dick Jauron is still their HC. Besides, the Jets have shown the ability to kick some ass this season. They've been kind of up and down all year. Just like a recent Giants game against a team from Ohio that shall remain nameless, the Jets just played poorly last Sunday. They could come out and tear it up against Buffalo. I think it comes down to protecting Favre, the Bills have shown some good pass-rushing capability. If Favre has time he should pick them apart.
Lets hope the Bills win the AFC east, better them then the cheatriots. Lets face it, we aren't winning it.
