It's going to take some time for the offense to gel. They got a chance to chuck the ball around a lot today - that should help with the process. If we can get to the bye at 2-2 and build enough chemistry to be potent on offense in the process we'll be in good shape. Give it a minute.

Again, not blaming Brett Favre. (Sure he's throwing off his back foot on every throw, missing open receivers and taking sacks left and right,) but I put the blame on the Jets "leadership" for making this move, blemishing a legend, and the scotchtape and paperclip fix for a franchise with no future. You underrate the preseason...it was easy to see that Clemens doesn't have it from his work in preseason this year and last year. Just as it was easy to see that Ratliff does have leadership, an arm and some innate ability. Maybe it's just a flash or a byproduct of playing 3rd stringers, let's find out.

I know you aren't blaming Favre...But if Favre is scrambling and making plays on his own at times...What is a rookie with NO EXPERIENCE going to do? I don't think the Jets will win the AFC East. I also strongly feel two AFC South teams will make the playoffs. This means the Jets will likely have to beat out either the Broncos or the Chargers (whichever one does not win the West) for a wild card spot.
I love this post, since it's filled with all the crap I see from so many so-called "Jets fans" on this board who have accused ME of being a Patriots fan, while they themselves have NO IDEA how to be a Jets fan themselves! Hello? Dudes? The first thing you do is support your team through thick and thin. THAT is a true fan. A true fan doesn't try to prove how "smart" they are by anticipating losses, second-guessing the head coach, criticizing the players, etc. On the other hand, and this is just my take on things? Every fan has the God-given right to expect their team to be in contention for the championship until they are eliminated. Once our team is eliminated? All bets are off. We, as fans, can criticize whoever we like and go after whoever we want. So once the Jets are eliminated from the playoff picture? This ost is totally called for. Until then? It's totally uncalled for. IMHO.
