the problem is...the FO has 130 million reasons why they can't keep waiting for the team to "gel".....as a fan, I understand that Rome wasn't built in a day and it takes time to build chemistry. But we're losing games in the process..... Favre needs to assimilate what he can from the playbook...and fast. Because the offense was a total clusterfuck....and the Jets can't afford to keep losing games because the team hasn't "gelled" completely.
I saw balls today... I have no problem with the coaching... today was an example of Jenkins being the most important player on the defense. Favre will be fine.
I think Favre will eventually get it together, but it might be too late to salvage anything by the time he does.
If you want to be a smartass, who brought Thomas Jones here? Just so you know, the CS makes decisions, devises schemes, (supposedly) teaches the players in the Offseason and in practice. Sure, it's ultimately on the players to perform, but a degree of their performance derives from the CS. So it's BOTH parties' fault.
So...there's like...no back up plan...if Jenkins...(or another player)...goes down...to me...that's called...being unprepared.
ZOMG 4 SRS!?!!?!? I haven't been saying this for 2 weeks.... And I don't hold anything against Jones. Those idiots just don't know how to use him.
Come on... If they recover the onside kick.. Its a great call... Its not the coaching.. It was bad against NE but not this week.
ZOMG Favre says he feels comfortable in the offense. The only people making excuses are desperate fans looking for excuses.
yes, they are called in game adjustments, or halftime adjustments or any derivative of that. most teams make them. have you gotten so used to Mangini's inability to do so that you think they are impossible to pull off? in game adjustments is not some outlandish concept that is impossible to conceive or execute, or else nobody would do it and we wouldn't have a term like in game adjustment to call the practice or even talk about it to begin with. the reason why we have terms like that is because the practice is done, so it isn't impossible, even during a road game against San Diego. unless you are inferring that the practice is just impossible to do on the road in San Diego alone.
You're not refuting anything. You're just saying what I said... I already said losing Jenkins was a big blow. And I didn't blame the lack of pass rush on the coaches (although the really good coaches know how to change it up and generate some sort of rush even in dire circumstances)... The point is: The communication sucked, it has not improved. I was hoping it would before we had a game where we weren't consistently getting to the QB... That it has not one iota is on the coaching staff. Period.
The onside kick was a terrible call and was the turning point of the game. If it worked they would have been lucky it worked but still a bad call in that spot, we had just gotten some momentum back and gave it right back to SD.
LOL what is he suppose to say? I think we should just let the guy wing it, the playcalling from the OC is trash.
