That pretty much sums it up, our vaunted defense is depending on ONE guy, Kris Jenkins. He goes down we're fucked. The 3-4 BS is not for us, when will the JETS learn?

They stopped nothing they are well over 300 yards of offense.

I agree in the sense that you can't have your entire D hinge on 1 guy. after Jenkins went out, they rammed it down our throats to open the 2nd Half, and we generated little pressure on Rivers.

A successful, dominating D isn't based on 1 guy, because then it becomes a weak D when that guy is out.

I didn't see SD punt once. The goal line stopped them. Even when LT couldn't run, Rivers was unstoppable. He didn't rack up a lot of passing yards because they got really good field position. I think they are just too good.

our offense lost this game....fumble recovery, and INT for 6...not to mention the onside. Its hard not to score when they get the ball constantly inside our 25...

the defense was put in a bad spot all game...

When our defense is dependent on one player that has an injury history, that is a large problem

We can't get to the QB, we can't stop the run why the fuck are we still running the 3-4. Someone please enlighten me please. The Jet nation to Mangini this is NY Jets not the Partriots and we will never be them.

Thank you. That's exactly what I'm saying.

If Jenkins goes down, then it's up to the coaches to get creative and find other ways to clog the running lanes and generate pressure on the QB.

Instead, the Chargers rammed the ball down our throats to open the 2nd Half, and Rivers was grilling steaks in the pocket.

the Safeties weren't much help either....could Chambers be any more wide open on that TD catch....

  14. That was harris' fault. The Safeties split for other assignments and Harris bit on the play fake.

Revis was great as usual but we gave up the middle of the field. The LBs were pretty in coverage and our nickelback couldn't cover their slot guy Davis on those 3rd downs.

The lack of a pass-rush was sad but their offensive line is really good.

i don't know why barrett split since there were already 2 guys on that side - i think he should have be deep middle coverage on hat play

The fact that Jenkins got hurt didn't have a lot to do with the outcome. The run defense was fine. The pass defense stunk and as someone said earlier the D could not stop the Chargers on third down. The Jets got little pass pressure the whole game (even when they blitzed) and it seemed like the LB's were totally out of position in the short zone. They also rushed only three guys a lot in the early going on passing plays which I just cannot stand. All in all another poor effort.

IDK, the 3-4 has been working so far, until Jenkins got injured. Once he went down, Rivers had all day to throw.
