That fake kick off was an unnecessary risk, we were only down 3 at that point and it was only the second quarter
I called it before it happened. If I could see it coming from Philadelphia, I'm sure the Chargers saw it too. Mangini is just pathetic...yes, we all called for him to be bolder, but not stupid. There was no rhyme or reason for calling the play there. The Chargers had scored off of turnovers, there was no reason to give them another short field. Moron.
Ya think? THIS TEAM IS GOING NOWHERE...TIME TO GET A PROFESSIONAL HERE AND BUILD A TEAM THAT HAS REAL CHARACTER, REAL TALENT AND REAL TOUGHNESS. Cowher is the name.
Dude, enough Cowher isn't coming here. Why would he? Also how many underachieving season Cowher had before he won? Its still a long season, its not how you start, its how you finish. Happens every year.
Cowher will NEVER come here...... We don't have any good options at this moment.... We have no future, we're just fucking screwed....
Start? The CS has been being torched all season on here. My opinion is the Mangini is a very smart young football coach with a lot of drive. I'm not even considering giving up on him yet. I know plenty on here are though.
38 year old dude learning on the fly... but there are no pleasing the masses... enjoy looking down at them.. I am. I fuckin hate the masses.
To be honest the biggest thing that is scaring me about this staff right now is the complete and utter lack of fire. This team is too "professional" for it's own good, that they are starting to look like a bunch of bumbling morons. At some point in the game they mentioned that one of Favre's biggest complaints is that the Jets show little emotion when getting a first down or scoring or doing something good in general. The game is too much business as usual for these players. You don't win in the NFL by being cold. If that is the kind of environment that Mangini is building inside of the locker room then if things continue as they are the team is going to quit on him. I felt like they were quitting at the start of the second half when they basically let San Diego march down the field. A good team would've made a statement right about there. The Jets through three games haven't had a real clutch moment yet, save Lowery at the end of the Miami game, and it is starting to haunt them. I really believe part of the problem goes beyond the stats and it's just the attitude of this team, and that is squarely on Mangini.
i think the coaching was OK for this game. However, last week was a disaster. We should just hang tight and let them coach this season. if we are mostly injury free at the end of the year and have less than 7 wins, Mangini and CO need to GO
