Yes for sure it hurts to see that. That Trent Edwards dude got knocked down but popped right back up. Naturally i appears that Russell is not the worlds most accurate passer & is held in tow by the CS. What suprises me a lot in that game is how easily Bflo went down the field on there last 2 scores. You know when you see Cutler & Marshall & Bflo it makes me begin to wonder if Tan & Man are the wunderkinds that everybody thinks they are
I can see looking at the current regime running this team as a work in progress, but anyone who thinks those two are wunderkinds is being far too optimistic. Tannenbaum did a great job landing Favre, imo, and has made some great moves, like getting Mangold, Rhodes and Revis. Perhaps Harris, too. I still like the Faneca move, and even think Jones was a good pickup. Pace and Jenkins also are looking like very good moves. But others? Not so much.
Yes some of the names & draft picks U mentioned were good pickups & I agree with them. Mangold seems to have taken a step backwards both last season & this one. Fancea so far gets failing marks IMHO. Harris also seems to have regressed at bit from his hot start last year. There are many on this board who DO think Man & Tan are wunderkins & are totally untouchable including our dear owner Mr. Woody. If we lose tonights game big time the uproar tomorrow will be a huge fire storm with Woody holding those PSLs in his hand & watching the bucks just fly away
he must not be averaging as many tackles as last year, which of course is a direct reflection on him. it in no way means the jets defense has gotten better at stopping the run so harris does not need to chase the opposing teams running back down all game.
He has allowed some runs thru his side of the field as well has being weak in his pass coverage (see Jordan, Faulk & Welker). You could also say his PR has dropped from last year as has his stops at the LOS or in the B/field. That is what I see however if you see differently we will see what tonights brings
So wait...Harris is supposed to cover Welker now? I thought that was Lowery's job? And once again Faulk did nothing really on the ground.
I don't think they'd put a thumper ILB on Welker.. thats retarded. Thats Coleman's responsibility or Lowery. Faulk had one lucky catch against him, the other was on Barton... Jordan was stopped when he hit harris, but it was in the 2nd level. He's not the one attacking the LOS since DRob is gone... its on the DL now.. last year Harris had to do everything, now he's playing a lesser role. You're nitpicking.
It was the so short dink & dunk passes if you forgot. As for Welker his timing could have been disrupted by the L/backers if they played well that day
I blame the DC for respecting Cassel when he used the draw. It still angers me that they really though he was going to pass. Thats why I hate the playing scared philosophy instilled by the playcalling. i wouldn't put it on Harris.
