Going back a bit, Cinci should have gone for the TD on 1 and goal at the 4.--that was their best chance to win. But, because they have a loser mentality, much like you know who, and not at all like shanahan, they played for the tie and took it in the ass in OT.
The Buccaneers got very lucky in overtime. The Bears defense had forced a punt situation. As the 3rd down play was concluding, hothead Jeremy Trueblood started to grapple with Adewale Ogunleye and took a few swings at him. A pileup then formed. Charles Tillman joined the fracas and pushed a Bucs lineman. Tillman was called for a 15-yard penalty. 1st down. The Buccaneers never relinquished the ball and won 27-24. Trueblood should have been flagged. The result would have been offsetting penalties. The Buccaneers would have punted from their own end zone. This Trueblood guy was ejected late in the Cardinals-Buccaneers game last November for fighting with Calvin Pace and making contact with an official.
I don't know what it is off hand, but I do know McNabb holds the record for most consecutive completions with 24. It was accomplished over the course of two games in 2004. The 1-game record is 22 by Mark Brunell and David Carr, both in 2006 games.
One of my old roomates was from Philly. His friends would come watch the games last year, and complain about McNabb. I wanted to smack them in the back of the heads, I would kill to have a guy like him on the jets.
