Anyone who thinks our OL has looked good the last two weeks is still comparing it to last years OL which was horrible. The OL has been bad for two weeks and DBrick and Faneca were both abused by Seymour. Fortunately they aren't going to face a lot of Seymour's down the line.
In base sets Favre has had ALL DAY to throw down field and Jones is averaging over 4 yards a carry! What more are you looking for. Most of the sacks given up have either been coverage sacks or a TE/RB blowing an assignment. The front 5 has been a major positive...and I'll debate that to the bitter end.
OR, just maybe he's a fan that actually can see and understand the short comings of his team rather than jut bury his head in the sand and pretend it's something it's not. Then again why let facts and reality get in the way of what you wnat to belive. Hell there are plenty of Jet fans here that still belive Dwayne Robertson is a beast of a player he just needs more time to develope.
I disagree, Favre was under incredible pressure against Miami and most of the time it was his movement in the pocket and his ability to get rid of the ball quickly or backing up that created the time. When the Pats needed to stop the run they did and when they needed to get pressure they did. Favre made a handful of great plays and Jones ran well for awhile until it counted.
Being in agreement with champ is something you really don't want to do. But to a Pats' troll, believing every player on the Jets sucks is what you're all about anyway, so I don't put a lot of stock into what you say anyway.
I am fairly sure they don't make Kool-Aid in gray... I won't bother posting anything relevant because this fuckin' troll will just give me a bull-shit response "List the plays where Seymour beat D'Brick" "Why don't you go back and watch the tape!?!?"

Ferguson played decent, not great. And the OL has failed to impress. Sure it is better than last year, but that didn't take much.
1st & 10 on the the Pats 2 & we cannot punch it in. That says all you ever want to say about a OLine. Totally embrassing & as far as I know Brick was part of that debacle
My post was mostly about pass protection. Brick is never going to be a mauler in run blocking. That's not why he's here. He's here to protect the QB and did a good job at that on Sunday. As for the infamous sequence of downs, here's what Brick did: Code: 1 3 R drives 93 out of play 2 2 R drives 93 1-2 yards 3 1 R gets destroyed by 93 He did his job on first and second down and got blown up on third. His forte is pass protection though.
Sorry as the #4 overall pick in the draft he should be able to do it all since the running game is part of the game is it not? In Miami if it was not for BF niftyness & as well in the Pat game he would have been sacked more so you have BF to thank for that instead of the mighty Brick. I am amazed how NYJ fans get smitten with the most medicore players & then come up with excuse after excuse to defend them instead of seeing the obvious that he is & always will be just a medicore player just like DeW & JV & Kenyon Coleman just to name 3 others who fans for whatever there reasons attached themselves to. Maybe they all should wait to see the contribution that the players makes before rallying around them.
I don't have any problem admitting that D'Brick is not living up to a #4 pick. Hopefully, he will start to shine a bit more this year. So far, Gholston is not a #6 either. Probably even a bigger concern over D'Brick because Gholston hasn't really done a thing, yet.
That is exactly what I did here Champ. I looked at what Brick did against one of the best front 7's in the game, broke down his performance and shared it with you. I'm not saying he's great, all I'm saying is that he did very well against the Pats in pass protection. He is an OK run blocker, not great, and probably never will be. He does seem to have come a long way in run blocking since Callahan was brought in though. Every scout and draftnick out there knew D'Brick wasn't a great run blocker yet they had him projected to go at #4 overall. I guess they are all crazy and you know your shit.
