I thought this would be a fun idea for a thread. This is how it works- make some predictions for the game, whether it be the final score, who scores the first touchdown, how many yards Favre will have, how many times Cassell gets sacked, who sacks him and so on. And after the game we can see how we did. My predictions: There will be a Punt or KO returned for a TD today Feely will miss a FG under 40 yards Gaffney will have a big game Favre will throw his 1st interception as a Jet Cassel comes out strong, throwing deep passes during his first 2 drives We will be losing after the 1st quarter, and at halftime Keller catches at least 3 passes
Jets lead the division after Week 2. AFC EAST: 1. Jets-2-0 2. Bills-1-1 3. Patriots-1-1 4. Dolphins-1-1
One of the best coaching job / defensive game plans Belli has come up with since the Rams 01 Superbowl .. Matt Cassel's new name to Jets fans will be Matt "Fucking" Cassel ..
The Jets D will be solid again. Lowery will look a little like a rookie. Cassel will make some bad decisions. The post-game hand-shake will be a little warmer than in years past. Our blitz-game will be more effective. Coles will still be a minor part of the offense.
All I have to say is the Jets D HAS to put more pressure on the QB than last week. That happens and they win by 10.
I really hope all this over confidence from fans and the media doesnt come back to bite us...I have a bad feeling about this game..
I'll have no voice left after the game. Jets CBs willl be the difference on D. Favre's passing game opens up the run. p.s. Pats Nation seems to be having flashbacks. Skip therapy this week?
Haha, I have a feeling Chaddy boy gets it done in Arizona. I don't know why. Plus, I thought that would be a cool thing to say "I called it". The entire division after Week 2.
we are the only ones overconfident, the players are so focused - they don't care who is on the field.... the crowd noise will help too, its going to be like a college stadium.
I'm not taking this lightly at all. We're JETS fans, we're used to having bad feelings before a game. It's going to be a great game, I'll be hammered by the end, probably will lose my voice from screaming and a sore arm from throwing foam footballs at the TV.
It just seems like everytime we think we havethe Pats where we want them..especially at home..things fall through. Want examples? 1. Opening game last year- The Patriots had alot of new parts on offense that really needed time to settle. We felt year 2 for many of our personell in the given systems would yield some results to grow on a late year Patriots victory and a 10-6 playoff appearance the prevous year. What ended up happening? We got absolutely thumped, w/ the only positive being the Pats being called out like a cheating 5th grader. 2. 3 years ago...late december game at the Meadowlands- The Patriots had just lost on monday night to the dolphins, were banged up on defense..meanwhile we were clicking on all cylinders. The game wasover by the mid 2nd Qtr. Now these 2 situations involved a healthy Tom Brady...but excuse me for being VERY cautious w/ any optimism I might have. It would mean the WORLD to me to stick it to BB and the assholes up North..but I'll reserve confience until The Patriots have their third 3 and out of the 1st half.
