Hm, I wasn't aware he interviewed in the past. Davis seemed pretty desperate to hold onto Ryan in the offseason so that's why I figured he'd be a candidate.

Rob Ryan didn't quite exactly receive such a warm welcome when Al Davis wanted to fire Lane Kiffin last year ; I'm hoping Rob Ryan gets fired too, and Jets scoop him up the very next day. Bob Sutton no more, eh?

That is fitting in any Raiders related thread and should be used in every one. What an embarrassment of an organization.

I think Kiffin will get another job in the league soon and will do far better....AL Davis is an idiot.

Kiffin would be better off going to a college program, where his players won't be older then him. I think that was an issue with him in Oakland, 3/4 of the team had time on him!

Nonetheless, I fully expect Rob Ryan to be introduced Monday after Kiffin gets fired.

Good for Kiffin...he waited Davis out and will now get the money. Of course I don't necessarily believe anything Francesa says. I could see Ryan getting the job until the end of the year.

Of course he will. That's why it's a contract. If he quit he wouldn't get paid.

Agreed, Kiffin is a good young football mind, it doesnt matter how you do it. Make him assistant advisor to the coffee pot re-filler if you have to, but bring him in on monday the moment his firing is announced. Hell have him take Sutton's job.
