I personally believe that they were saving up Dustin Keller for this game, and they want to use him against the older NE linebackers. What do you guys think?

First of I think we should disguise or Blitz packages and get to this QB, Then start to think about out O-fence and what the Patsies are willing to give us.

Dustin Keller is becoming one of my favorite Jets and he has not even done anything yet.

I can't wait till he does.

I am going to say the Jets pass it more this week. Because they can.

That's a good question. I had the inkling that perhaps some of the reason for last weeks conservative play calling late was to keep some wrinkles secret for today.

Could be that Keller becomes a focus today. Could go five-wr at times too; don't think I saw that at all last week.-personally, would love to see that on first-downs periodically.

Defensively, I think NE is preparing a bunch of blitz counterplays including many screens so I hope our D doesn't get outsmarted. I'd love to see effective blitzing but don't think that should be a large part of the defensive gameplan.

Blitzing might not even be needed. How about cover his recievers and see if he can make throws.

It will be the obvious one. Defense not setting, walking in circles, loafing around, etc., etc. until just before the snap. Guaranteed.

I would just love for the Jets to play smash mouth style of Offense with NE...Just pound that rock with Thomas Jones to the left side, have Favre be a field general and if open...Go for the deep attack...I just think we can pick up 1st down after 1st down on this NE team.

Also...Lets pressure the SHIT outta this Cassell guy...Pace, Thomas, Gholston, Harris...These guys gotta chase this guy down all game for us to dominate...

Also...Lets stuff Maroney in the same way that we stuffed Williams and Brown last week!

    -Win the trenches

As far as this thread goes...I think we will see A LOT of Leon Washington against this NE team. He's a play-maker that this NE team wants none of.

I just wrote this in another thread. Rewatching the Dolphins game, I was wondering if we weren't throwing everything at the Dolphins because we were saving up for Week 2. If that's the case, it almost backfired.

With Cotchery drawing a lot of coverage and Coles hurting, let's see Stuckey have a big game.

On D, since Gholston only shows up for big games, he breaks out and puts Cassel on the turf twice.

Haven't we been waiting for Brad Smith to throw a pass as a WR for years?

Just as long as we don't put in a series of the Brad Smith option package.

Yes! I'm still looking for the HB pass! Honestly, last year I thought he was affective as a (scrabbling) QB last year when we played NE, just some thing to mix it up. Or maybe Coles lining up as HB again :jets:
