true, but he's a biased boston fan to the point where its sad... every non-football thought of the week is about the Sox. Its a bit much sometimes. Dude's a good writer, I wish he was more objective when he discusses sports.

He IS a Sox fan. But he's from New Jersey and I think his rooting interests lie elsewhere in the other sports. He's a Devils fan for sure.

    He's from Mass, not Jersey.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bellichick tells his Defense to lay illegal hits on Favre trying to knock him out of the game.

"Hey if I can't have my QB no one should."

    Whining bitch.

I thought about that when the Wilfork thread was dug up the other day, and then I daydreamed about Thomas Jones beating the fuck out of Harrison (he'd try to do it) for trying to take Favre's knees out, breaking Harrison's eye socket, and getting a penalty for it. Best penalty of the year if it happens.

He was born in Springfield Mass. Grew up and went to school in Connecticut. He has lived in New Jersey for years....

Wikipedia has him born in Springfield, Mass.

He's a simple homer which is fine, but Paul Zimmerman and Tony Kornheiser are both Long Island guys, Rich Eisen is a Staten Island guy, and they don't ever push their Jets loyalty in front of the camera.

Eisen gets shit from his co-workers on camera, but he never does anything to hint it.

I think what he is trying to say is if you couldn't even score 20 points against the worst team in the league last week when Brady actually even played part of the game how the hell are you going to do it this week when you will actually have a defense that is going to pressure you?

I will continue to defend Peter King. You don't have to agree with him to know he's an excellent writer. In fact, even being a Pats homer, I think he's the best NFL writer out there.

I think what he is trying to infer here is Feely is going to cost the Jets the game by missing a FG late.

King has always been a homer. No big deal

What's worrying me in this game is Lil Bill isn't doing anything to bring in a hold the fort vet. That tells he has confidence in Cassel. Don't like that. The guy has been on the team for three years. He knows the system for sure. If he wasn't any good Lil Bill would have dumped him. Of course he isn't Brady, but Brady isn't the only reason they were 18-1 last year. Belichick would rather lose an eye then lose to Mangini and the Jets

    Expect a very tough game

If he could go out and get Montana, Marino or Namath in their prime they wouldn't be able to play this week. The shithead has no choice, what else is he going to do? You said it yourself, Cassel has been in the system for three years and still they will have to dummy up the playbook to get through this week.

Maybe he's a homer with the Sox. But I read him every week and I don't get patriot homer from what I've read. Don Banks is a Pats homer. Prisco from CBS is a Jets homer....

Peter King is straight up the most overrated pile of garbage in the media. I take everything he says with a massive grain of salt.

Dr. Z is so much better, and funnier. Bill Simmons is a Boston diehard and talks about them all the time, but he's still funny.

    Peter King is a dipshit.

I love all the anti-Jet talk. I'd rather win this way. I love all the talk about Cassell and Moss too. This game is about us stopping Maroney, Jordan and Welker, which is who their O will focus on to keep us from killing that kid, don;t be surprised to see Gutierrez in for a play or 2 ala Brad Smith. That 80 yard bomb Moss caught in the first game doesn't happen this year, their Oline has regressed and their D is old, slow and ready to go. I said it here first, Dustin Keller's coming out party on Sunday.

I agree with him except the score. Who needs a kicker though when you lose 10001225252-0 to the Pats. This one won't be close.

Maroney, MORRIS and Welker. Jordan isn't a factor.

I don't think the Pats are going to run the ball with any consistency against the Jets Sunday. That will make Cassel's job much harder. I think the NE O-line got exposed in the playoffs last year. It was nowhere near as good as it performed in the regular season, and they were made to realize it. Bring the pressure early and often, and do not turn the ball over 2 or 3 times. I won't make a prediction, and if I did it would not be a 1-point copout like Peter D-bag. He thinks the Pats are better--fine. One point predictions to me are just off the wall.
