http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3579495 I read that as less than 50/50 he'll ever be effective again. I don't believe that any QB in NFL history has ever come back from a dual tear like that and been even remotely effective. The closest is Daunte Culpepper and he's close to retirement from what I hear. He's actually retired at the moment, but not in any way that would prevent him from coming back if he chose too. The problem is he's not a very good QB right now and nobody will pay him as more than a journeyman backup. This may well mark the end of the Pat's dynasty at long last. There's no Steve Young sitting in the wings ready to take over.
His MCL will heal on its own. There are waiting for it to heal, so they can perform surgery on his ACL. His muscles will heal, let's just hope he'll never be able to get his head back in the game.
Let us not forget about Brady being a pretty tough QB in his own right. Even though I could never be one of his fans, the guy has been tough. I certainly will not count him out; the only thing that is for sure is he will have 1 year to rehab.
15 years ago this injury would have finished Brady but with new surgical innovations used today he will be back playing next training camp. Also Brady while not a scrambler like Tarkenton or Cunningham will still be able to evade pass rushers. This injury will be a mere blip on his Canton bust.
It's posts like this that make Jet fans look both foolish and petty. Medical experts that "actually went to medical school" say it's 6-9 months to 100% recovery. Keep dreaming Jet fan.
On the road from ACL surgery myself right now. I'll be playing rugby again in the spring after a little over a year off. That is without 24/7 medical help. I have no doubts that a athlete like Brady with proper medical help will be back on the field in a year.
With modern surgical techniques and rehab, Brady should be OK. As others have said his game wasn't predicated on scrambling or rushing for big yards. Also he's got a full year to recover.
Haha if they say that he has less then a 50/50 chance of ever being the same again then seeing as he is a nemisis of the Jets and the biggest thing standin in their way of winning a SB or division title he will come back just as good if not better lol.
I tore both too. Got told the usual stuff, walk with a bit of a limp, won't be able to run.... Don't have a limp and can run, albeit like a girl , lol. With the $$$$ that the Pats have, he'll be back.
carson palmer tore his acl mcl and pcl and came back the next year im sorry to say this but we will see brady again
whos that rb the bill drafted that had his lower leg separated from his upper leg? knee as hanging on by a string of skinl. mcgeehe (sp) seems to have recoverd. anyhow, too bad it wasn't brady's throwing elbow or neck.
Why because he is being truthful? Why don't you quit being a whining bitch and let any fan say what they like or you can get the hell out? Sound just as fair?
