Nuge would be somewhat ok if he wasn't allowed to kick in the first game of the season. Didn't he fall down on his face in the opening game 2 years ago, and then had htat horrible outing in the opening game last year, and then the incident this week?

So much hate...lol. I'm going to put it out there fellas. I like Nugent. There you go I said it. To be honest he really can't miss a kick like the one against the phins. Lost in all this is the fact that he was injured when he took that kick - why is it we're bagging the hell out of a guy for being injured? What's his prerogative for making more of it than it is? Whatever - He's gunna have to miss a few more sitters or game on the line kicks before I jump on this particular bandwagon of hatred!
Nuge did not have a particularly good pre-season. However, I'm not ready to throw him under the bus because I was never enamored with Feely, either. I guess it depends how Feely does this week.
I for one would not want to wait to see if he's going to miss more FG's he should make. He's a good kid, and if we were looking at 4-12 again, maybe let him have his chance. But this is a special year and you have to maximize your chance of winning it all this year. Maybe he would not miss the rest of the year--who knows? But Feely, if he is the Feely of old, has the better chance of hitting a 40 yarder--of course, just my opinion. On a side note, I fu**in' love fans post from NZ, Australia, Scotland, UK, Germany, etc. Rock on New Zealand!
he will be fine playing for us, i assume he sees this opportunity as a good shot in becoming a good NFL kicker, again... i mean c'mon he is going to be playing with brett favre, favre is going to lead us down the field and its his shot to give us 3 points for us and favre and he misses.. wow.. i think he would not want to feel that way. so practice your ass of and be prepared.
