That was my impression. Compared to last year, the left side had to play better.

But credit where due and all that, he played well. Still it was only one game.

and... AND... he had no penalties. no false starts or holding calls. mangold seemed to struggle a lot more then brick in that game. (no i'm not calling mangold a bust)

When no discernible weakness can be found along the wall, the center is the best choice.

They ran left 6 times all game, and only one of those runs was a loss. D'Brick wasn't brought here to be a run blocker.

Kurt and I have argued a lot over the last 6 months that Brick has been much better than a lot of people were giving him credit for. I'm glad others are starting to see the same thing.

Just like work on any job, if your covering for a slacker next to you half the day your work suffers. If your co worker does his job you get yours done better. If the two of you work as a team on things you get even better results.

Its no wonder that Bricks suddenly looks better with a very good offensive lineman next to him. He has been good for some time. Now, in his third year, all the parts are falling into place.

Excellent point and one that has been overlooked a lot on here.

Well, Cutler looks damn good and Favre ain't gonna be around forever....and I wanted Cutler.

Brick looked good, though. No Jason Taylor helped. We gotta see when he goes up against better pass rushers at the RDE position..

Didn't Brick OWN Jason Taylor last year?

He shut down Taylor in the other 4 matchups he had against him.

But that's been Brick's problem up until now. He'll have a real solid game and then get totally run over the next week. He needs to show that he can continue to do what he did against the Dolphins over the course of the whole season.

D'Brick probably made Taylor cry last year. Not that it's hard or anything...but he fuckin owned him last year. THAT was D'Brick's best game.

And please...D'Brick's played well against some elite DE's in his short career...Freeney...Osi...Cole...Geathers...Schobel...more but I'm lazy and trying to do HW lol.

NDmick, I have to go along with you on this one.

But D'Brick has just gotten started. He will be mightily challenged this week.

Far more than he can imagine.

I'm just hoping that somebody puts the fear of God in his eyes, so that he is prepared to respond.

    Do Not Underestimate the Patriots!

Especially if you aim to beat their asses.

I think the kid didn't grow into his body... Hakeem Olajuon from the Houston Rockets was almost the same way - Skinny dude who had to bulk up before he was name one of the NBA's 50 greatest players.

The fear of angry Jets fans helped too

Let that go man. We decided to pass on Cutler for some strange reason.. D'Brick?? hopefully he hasn't peaked yet but wouldn't that be typical...

I agree with LA Jet, spend your money on excellent lineman and you might win but you won't without them. That kid in Miami is going to be a monster and take advantage of him now cause you won't next year.

Best I ever saw anywhere, on any team, was Anthony Munoz, the guy had years where his blocking assignment never made a tackle. I don't think he ever surrendered a sack. He would command a fortune today and be higher paid than maybe all but 10 QBs and RBs and worth every penny.

Seymour has tried to do well against Brick 4 times and hasn't embarrassed him once.

Aaron schobel does better against Brick than seymour.

Talk with the facts, it makes you look better.
