Can someone please explain to me the preoccupation of all in sports media about "Brett just having fun" cliche? Do you become part of some journalist fraternity when you comment on Brett's fun level? It is so pee wee-ish. Like the concern you have for a 4 yr old kid playing T-ball.

It was kind of gay hearing it all last year but now with every Tom, Dick and Harry journalist squeezing it into every damn Favre piece it is beyond queer. Who the f#(% cares about Brett's fun level? I just want him to win and that will be plenty "fun" for everyone.

It probably comes from quite some time ago when he said he would keep on playing until it wasn't fun anymore. I respect a player that says they are having fun out there rather than just collecting a paycheck. Seems to make a difference too.

Do you really expect the NY sports media to come up with something original and intelligent?

He certainly looks more impressive than, er, Kellen Clemens? Then again, if we had Cuter, we wouldn't have Favre...
