How is this strategy going to work out on third and goal in the playoffs if we have to give Manning, Big Ben etc time to throw with Hines Ward, Marvin Harrison or Reggie Wayne running through our secondary instead of the rejects the Dolphins have at the Wr position. In your infinite wisdom do you think the no pressure bend don't break strategy will work? It almost didn't work against the worst team in the league. What is so hard to understand that this will not work against a good team???????

The DE's responsibility in the 3-4 has absolutely nothing to do with a bend don't break approach. If we are going to get consistent pressure it's going to come from a LB, S or CB the majority of the time. That's how the 3-4 defense works. It has nothing to do with my "infinite wisdom". I feel sorry for you if this is truly so hard for you to grasp this elementary concept.

When you have a team lead by Chad Pennington down by 2 scores in the 4th quarter, using a bend don't break approach seems to be a decent approach IMO. I'd rather force Pennington to try and fit the ball into a tight spot than take the risk of leaving someone wide open if the pressure fails to get there.

I would prefer to pressure him into throwing the game away with one of his classic pick six's when he gets the dear in the headlight look and throws it away when the pocket gets hot. This is Chad not Manning.

Well, we left everyone in coverage and he threw one of his classic picks. He tried to do it one other time but Coleman dropped it.

its the first game and favre does not know the playbook just yet, he used plays he was familiar with give him 3 more games and he will be fine, on the defense sure we didnt look so hot, but again we have 3 new impact players on defense who is learning our scheme, and will take a couple of games for these guys to be cohesive... you guys are as impatient as a crackhead tryin to get his crack (tyrone biggums)
