Are you that ignorant? We were NOT cheering that Chad was hurt, we were cheering that Clemens was getting his shot! Most fans were very unpleased with Chad's play at that point in the season and wanted to see a change. If you cant see a difference in cheering for seeing Clemens get his shot and not at someone getting injured then you dont deserve the right to post your opinion.

Y you even brought this up I dont know, whats even a bigger mystery is why Im dignifying this with a response.

Exactly! I am a TRUE believer in Karma.

    Just let it go.

Remember about 7 seasons ago. A team from NY/NJ, knocked an opposing QB out for the season and a 6th round unknown, came in to win the game and ultimately 3 SB's and a 16 - 0 season last season?

I remember PLENTY of JETS fans celebrating when Bledsoe went down.

    How'd that work out?

I detest the Patriots, but man I LOVE The JETS more than I DISLIKE the Patriots and don't want ANYTHING getting in the way of our success.

    PERIOD!

I'm dissapointed he is hurt. I thought this year would be a three way dog fight for the division. I have no doubt that the Pats will figure out a way to conpensate. They can still run the ball and they have great WR who will help any QB be sucessful. I have no doubt its a huge blow but they are still a very dangerous team.

I never celebrate any injury at all. I never wanted to see Brady hurt. However, as we Jet fans know, injuries are part of the game, so I'm not gonna mourn it either. Fact is, this is a huge break for the Jets. In fact, yesterday couldn't have gone better for Gang Green. Both Indy and SD lose, and Brady goes out of the season.

However, there is more to that team than Tom Brady. They still have a strong running game, a stout defense, and Randy Moss. Even without Brady it will be a tough game.

Yeah, I must agree. Anyone who counts the Pats out is over-looking a lot. They may be more mortal now, but they are still capable of beating you.

They were mortal before too. Their OL has be exposed. I am really impressed with the way we put pressure on Pennington yesterday, and I do think we will get a big game from Pace on Sunday.

With Brady as his starting quarterback, Belichick is 87-24 as a head coach during the regular season, 14-3 during the postseason. He is 3-1 in Super Bowls. Without Brady, Belichick's career regular season record is a mere 41-57 and he is 1-1 in postseason play.

Yes, the Pats are not the Pats they once were. I was watching a fair bit of the game yesterday at the sports bar I was at. The Pats have definitely lost a few steps on defense. Their running game is still respectable so I am not convinced their O line has fallen off. What happened to Brady was more of a dumb fate thing. We should know about dumb fate - in fact, we should be experts in this area.

Cassel came in and did pretty well, so he is very capable. The Pats become beatable without Brady, but unlike what happened to us when Vinnie went down with an achilles, the Pats still have a season to look forward to.

I know you will say that they were beatable with Brady and this could very well be true if the O line has taken some steps back this year. But, I think their problems lie more in the defense than the offense.

KC almost beat them yesterday. KC is still light years away from being competitive. I definitely think KC will have one of the worst records in football this year and Herm will be let go at the end of the year.

Patriots are bringing in Chris Simms for a physical and a workout. If this does go thru, I wouldn't start counting the Patriots season a wash just yet.

Chris Simms isn't good enough to lick the dog shit off of Brady's cleats. Their season is lost unless Cassel turns out to be the next Kurt Warner.

Most teams are one play away from a dismal year due to a major injury. (RE: Vinny in '99). Obviously I would never cheer Brady's injury but, those are the breaks. Now, the AFC East teams have to step up and exploit the Pats shortcomings. Just b/c Brady is out does not gove the Jets the division.

This couldn't have happened to a more deserving person. Comeuppence for Mr. Arrogance. I feel neither pity or sympathy for this schmuck.

Although they are still to be considered the top team of the AFC East, I can definitely see a vastly different result at season's end than what a lot of the pundits have pictured.

While I never like an injury you reminded me of this.

In the first game of the season? After Pennington took the team to the playoffs the year before Jets fans were "unpleased" with Chad's play and ready for Clemens to get his shot in the first game of the season? I think you misunderstood those cheers.

IMO the pressure is on the jets next week......they need to make a statement NOW and take full advantage of the pats handicap.....

the pats will be extra juiced for this as well being the first game without brady as the QB.

the jets need to play better than yesterday. its a situation that calls for an ambush - similar to the 02 games against the packers and colts. aggressive on both sides of the ball.

the balance of power has shifted, not necessarily permanently, to the point where the bills jets, and pats wil be in a season long dog fight.

Very good point Jil. the pressure has done an instant switch to our side. This is a must win game if we want to prove we have what it takes to win the division and its by no means a shoe in for us.

Expect a very physical, very good game. I just hope we have a heathy kicker for it.
