Bring Feeley in. He converted 91.3 percent of his attempts with the Dolphins last season and has converted 80.8 percent in his career. Sounds good enough. Better than Clemens kicking.
totally agree with you on this one. Could you imagine if would've lost the game 21-20....the loss would've been solely on the Nuge's shoulders. Feely..or some other capable of kicker needs to be brought in ASAP.
There's no need to replace Nuge. He's not great, but he's good enough. Today was only the second <30 yarder he's ever missed.
Nugent is above average as a kicker when healthy. When unhealthy you get what occurred today. We need another kicker.
I think what's being overlooked just a bit is that it seemed Nugent didn't want to come back in the game. I wonder what Mangini told him. It looked really foolish to see the Jets line up for a 2pt conversion because no one was available to kick the damn ball. Going for the 1st dwn on 4th & 13 was also very bizarre to watch as well..
Settle down guys with all the cut nugent remarks. Remember 2 years when he had a steak of like 21 straight made kicks? Calm down, the kid is just hurt, he'll be fine when he's healthy. But we should sign anderson or feely for now.
thank you. this is the key thing here. not only is he hurt but at this point he looks shook. we need to get someone else in there before the pats game. ir for him
Without a kicker you don't win any big games. All I know is what I saw this pre-season and today. Is this the guy who will go 3 for 3 in the AFC championship or nail 3 this year as time runs out for those precious Ws? If yes, keep him, if not get Anderson.
That is a great point. Mainly because I totally agree. For the guy that mentioned his percentage from 30 yds being better than Viniateri, making that comment and measuring him against a guy that's hit more pressure kicks in his career than Nuge ever will is silly. Fact, AV was a weapon in NE, Nuge is an average NFL kicker that had the misfortune of being drafted in the second round...
Holy shit, I just remember his first game against KC, didn't he fall down attempting his first ever kick? It was like Graham placed the ball on a banana peel...
