Any news on his status for next week against the Jets? I would never wish for an injury to a player, but I wont lie...Am I wishing for a speedy recovery? Heck no!

It's time for the Patriots to play a team like the Jets with a backup because we all know one thing...The Jets have played Brady and the Patriots plenty of times with career backups!

Lets see what the Patriots can do against Favre and the Jets without Brady! :shit:

Nah...I can bet my bottom dollar that Brady will be back for the Jets game next week, anyone know the status on his injury as of right now?

Knowing the Patriots they'll announce that Brady has an in-grown toenail and is probably for next week.

JETS ASSUME BRADY HAS TORN ACL
Posted by Mike Florio on September 7, 2008, 5:47 p.m.

Though there’s no official word on the status of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, several members of the team the Pats play next think he has a torn ACL.

“Everybody I talked to said it’s a torn ACL,” an unnaned Jets player told Tom Curran of NBCSports.com. ”Players AND coaches. When we came in here that’s what people were saying, ‘Brady’s got a torn ACL.’”

Said coach Bill Belichick after Sunday’s 17-10 win over the Chiefs: ”I don’t have any update on Tom. They’re looking at him, doing some tests on him. I don’t have any information yet. Not that anybody would be interested in that.”

I want to beat a healthy Pats with Tom Brady. That said, we better not over look a very talented team because thier QB went down. This is a tough game next week no matter what.

Well...That sucks for Tom Brady, but what can I say? I guess it may be the Patriots turn to see how they play a HOF QB with a career backup next week...Lets see how great of a team those Patriots fans say they have without Brady.

I just posted in the game thread. The AP is reporting that Moss said, "Hopefully Matt Cassel is ready to step in and lead us."

Does not look good for Brady....smacked right in the knee.

I am shocked that the coach did not have a heart attack on the spot, when they led Brady off the field.

Jets will have no prob next week with Cassel....and poor Cassel will probably wet his pants.

Torn ACL...that's what sidelined Ronnie Brown last year and earlier Carson Palmer and Donovan McNabb if i'm not mistaken. Damn..that could take a lot of time...

This is the exact attitude I want to avoid. This is still the pats. I want to beat them. Any thoughts of underestimating them are completely the wrong idea.

Why would we want New England to have any excuses? If we don't beat them with him in there, we don't deserve to beat them. But if we beat him when he's in, then we have legitimate reason for more than just cautious optimism

I hate the Pats and Brady so much that I shamefully admit I was happy to see that play. :pats_suck: I know we should want to beat them at their best, but Brady or not, next week is a HUGE game for this franchise. Let them make all the excuses they want. I know it's only Week 2, but this is an absolute must-win for this team psychologically. A win next week could catapult us to big things.
