Shannon is putting the team in the right direction. Now his decision making is sorta like Herm, but he KEEPS the good players down south, and Coker couldn't do that. Now, do I think he's the answer? I don't know...But I'm not as far to say he is or in your case, isn't the answer. ^MSU...Miami was Top 5 in both of those...Coker never was...So that's fine with me.
The San Diego State Aztecs, who were rolled over by the juggernaut that is Cal Poly last week, are taking out their frustrations by grabbing a 13-7 lead in South Bend over Notre Dame. And they just recovered a fumble, too.
East Carolina is pounding West Virginia right now, goodness. The Purple Pirates are for real, ladies and gents.
Overrated QB Overrated Coach Overrated Team Only team with its own TV Network, on NBC nation-wide? Screw them.
Those things...and I get sick of the whole "Irish/roman catholic" aura surrounding them.(No disrespect to those of that descent...it just doesnt belong in any CFB discussions) The parity in college football right now is downright scary.
This year they have hardly gotten THAT much attention or hype and its not expected after that year last season. Weis is a solid coach just going through a tough transition right now. Wont argue with Clausen, he's an ok QB but not No.1 like expected. And the network thing isnt a big deal at all, I mean that's the lone team I get to watch on a weekly basis which is one of the reason's I am a Irish fan. I just think the Irish hate is hilarious. They arent that great, why bother? And Kurt that's just due to history and the fact that its a heavily religious school so there's rules/expectations from the school itself.
Louisiana-Monroe with a huge upset last year over Alabama. Now they're up 27-21 in the 4th quarter on Arkansas. Under 5 minutes left.
On another totally unrelated note.. That rb from ecu is going to be one of the best in the country by years end.. He's fast , elusive, powerful, has vision and he's only a sophomore look out for this kid...
Maryland beat California 35-27. The Terrapins were 14-point underdogs. Not an upset, but notable- Auburn squeaked by Mississippi State 3-2.
Well the Mountain West had a great week against the Pac 10 TCU roughed up Stanford, not a real upset New Mexico shocked Arizona BYU gave UCLA their worst loss in 80 years 59-0 (These teams had played 3 times in 2 years leading up to last week with UCLA winning 2 and losing on a blocked FG in a bowl game) And the upset of the week, my alma mater UNLV defeats the school I originally enrolled in Arizona St in OT 23-20. They blocked a FG to win the game.
CU over 21 WVU. Even though WVU started season overrated, and was still overrated... How awful is Bill Stewart? I haven't seen such terrible coaching errors and horrid clock management since the Herm Edwards days.. And I'm fairly sure Stewart is 10x worse. I bet WVU is regretting that nice fat 6 year deal right about now. If he continues to coach like that, WVU has no choice but to can him.. And then watch as Skip Holtz moves on up.
I had parts of the WVU-Colorado game on as background noise. I lost major interest in college football for various reasons, one of which was WVU Glavining their 2007 season. I did attend WVU for one year, but graduated from another school. I'm thoroughly disgusted with their football program. I actually do not even know who WVU beat in their season opener. That's how out of it I am.
