Tomorrow night at 8:00 on ESPN. Of course I'd love to beat Florida and pull the upset, but you gotta put things in perspective and realize when you're starting a True and Redshirt Freshman that the feat of going in there and beating Tebow is almost not possible... Just want to see Miami competitive and keep it a game unlike Clemson/Bama.
It could be looked at as a measuring stick game, going into a hostile stadium against the #5 team. It will show how much work they still have to do to get back to being a top 10 team. If they get down early and quit, like they did last year against UVA, that wont reflect well on Shannon. If they are competitive on the field, even if they are losing on the scoreboard, then there is hope.
Go Canes! Excited to see what Marve's got tonight. Gonna be a real tough test obviously. Hopefully our D can contain Tebow.
James is out but insert a frosh - another one - Thomas at RB; he looks like he has some moves and vision too. and i hate this 2-QB system. just pick one guy and leave him in.
I must say I'm very happy about the defense. This blocked punt hurts bad, lucky to be a safety...Ugh.
GREAT half defensively. Still in the game and not getting embarrassed. Tebow getting rattled is friggin awesome.
Gotta keep Marve in there and have to stop running on every first down play. Defense is playing great, I couldn't understand why everyone was saying that the U wasn't going to keep up with the Gators O cuz of their speed, Miami has a frosh LB who runs a 4.3. Hopefully they can keep up the intensity in the second half.
yeah, Miami's frosh class looks very very impressive. this Defense is fast and intimidating. and i agree that i'd stick with Marve of the two. lastly, they need to start using playaction on first down. is it Nix who's the O-coordinator? if so, his 1st down playcalling is awful; hopefully they're discussing that right now. and hopefully they knock Tebow brickhead around this half.
Mel Brooks ... i mean, Lee Corso ... just said he wants to see Marve stay in the game because he has "that intensity and tattoos on his arm." hahah.
Maybe now you call some PA's on 1st down...But I agree with a conservative playcall selection the 1st half. It's 2 freshman at Gainesville, one of them throwing their 1st collegiate pass. Now that we see Marve has some nice zip on the ball and we all know about his scrambling ability...Open up the playbook some more. Losing James hurts bad though, as much as I like Coop...James is very good.
yeah James is very talented. but that frosh Thomas looks like he has the goods. and Bosher with another suplex on the return ahaha wtf?!
