Week # 1 Dolphins

Where did any of the seasons you posted get us? Last I remember we won the SB some 40 years ago which means those seasons you mentioned were unsuccessful. If you consider unsuccessful as being a "good" season then wow do you hold low standards for the team

Good or bad is in the eye of the beholder, champ. As you like to say, I just posted historical facts. And I mentioned in each case how far we went. :up:

 

Yeah but you did not say the seasons mentioned by U ended without us winning NOTHING. That is the historical fact which you may not realize.

 

Nothing is also in the eye of the beholder. If you give a stripper $50 and she jerks you off, you walk out of the club technically with nothing. But is it really nothing, champ? What is nothing?

I have high expectations for this season. We need to win 10 games, 11 would mean we stepped up in class big time. We need 4 of 6 division games to ensure playoffs with 10 wins, 3 if we make it to 11. That means two wins off of Miami, Buffalo or NE and a split with the other two. The first couple of weeks is to find out where your team is at and make key adjustmenst. Nobody knows how good or bad they are or their competition in the first couple of weeks. A lot of bad teams will have close wins and some good teams will get blown out.

I expect a win, hope for a win but I'm not calling kavorkian if we lose.

 

I still think we win 2 of our first 3 but I have no idea which 2 they will be.

But...

I still think NE will be tough to get a win from, here or there. Buff on the other hand should be easy. Should be.

But to assure getting 4 of 6, with NE still formidable, a win this week is almost essential.

It's true the first game does not usually mean much, and perhaps other wins will be picked up as the O gets it together later. But it's also true that you don't always open against a division opponent you "should" beat in order to get to that 4 of 6 number.

 

Ftr the only thing I care less about than what the media says about Jet fans is what fish fans say about Jet fans.
