After seeing a lot of beat articles that directly reflect or antagonize some of the POVs posted on this board and others, I have concluded that our writers have decided to go online to rip ideas directly from the fans.

Some are fair and many others are purposely unfair, but the fact is, any intelligent writer trying to sell copy would not avoid going straight to the source of their paycheck.

And some of these turds are so desperate for material with this new regime that not checking boards would make them less readable than they already are.

    Thoughts?

How many post? Who knows? How many read? I'm sure all of them except Cannifatass.

It's a great way to see how fans are feeling.

Exactly, although I'm not sure I agree with you about Can'O'Tardo. That pathetic idiot probably trolls every Jets forum he can find. Why wouldn't they go directly to the source? I almost feel bad bringing attention to them without directly insulting them.

^ Exactly. I'm not convinced that any of them post here, but probably most of them read the board occasionally.

Look, I know it's a bit odd to imagine it, but why wouldn't some of these hacks purposefully start inflammatory threads... threads which are not unlike a lot of articles posted... to gauge reaction? We all know fan anger leads to selling copies.

Interesting point. I never thought about it.

If I were a beat reporter I would certainly post a few just to gauge reactions. And the posts alone on this board have enough writing material for many, many stories.

I'm not sure which of those two should be insulted more.

    Not bad.

And yeah, abyzmul, it's very strange to think of. Possible, though.

Here's where you start guessing which posters in the NYJ forum could be reporters/writers.

That's where I stop, actually. Meandering is one thing, giving them free advertising is quite another.

Sometimes they reference fans on the message boards. Doesn't JetsNation have one of them on there for a fee or something?

THE_STOOLSAVER's board has 'premium content' from the biggest beat writing whiner of them all. It's amazing, why would anyone pay for content from a guy who is too lazy to get anything warranting premium content?

I wouldn't be surprised if Boland and/or Cimini were on here. Hutchison wouldn't surprise me either. If you're really wondering, just email them, they usually reply fairly quickly and are more accessible than you might imagine... at least they have been in the past when I've pointed out their mistakes (ha ha).

I'm out of pocket enough for tickets, pre-season games, parking and the upcoming PSLs, that last thing I need to do is pay for a "premium" message board.

I thought the guy over on jets central was pretty good (gary grund), then when I posted a couple of his takes, you guys blew smoke up my ass and said he was a GG regular.....lol, I can't tell who posts from where and which are beat writers.... so I ask, what's the deal, what's the motive, don't these beat writers have "live, reliable sources, rats etc"? What profit to troll these boards for info, after all, we are all usually just voicing our opinions and telling each other off.....lol

Honestly...You give this site & its posters ...way 2 much credit. There usta be better dialogue & better posters before the internet brats (such as urself) helped turn this forum into a "good ole boys b.s. forum"....filling the site with negativity & sarcasm....
So yeah....all the beatwriters wanna learn some good old football from you.

Moving past that....There was 1 writer here for a little while a few years ago(TALKSHOWHOST) I believe or something like that was his I.D. name ...I believe he was Dan Leberfield.
