Good news for travelers and out-of-towners that don't have Sunday Ticket. Looks like the Jets game will be available in most other areas on Sunday. http://the506.com/nflmaps/2008-01-CBS.html
Argh, I'm stuck in orange birdland. At least I wont be listening to Simms whine about the Jets. I've got to find a place to watch the game somewhere in MD.
Yes wait to those "flex" games if we are in the running at that time for a PO spot. Call it Favre a vision
Wisconsin TV Both WISC-TV 3 in Madison and CBS-58 in Milwaukee have announced they will televise 11 Jets games this season. (the exceptions being the Chargers game on ESPN, the Patriots game on NFL Network, and 3 conflicts with Packers games on CBS.) Other than, those 3 games, the entire Jets schedule will be available on regular TV in Wisconsin. In addition to showing the games, they announced they will show them in their entirety and not cut away to other games, basically treating them as home market games. Exciting news for the millions of new Jets fans in Wisconsin.
Favre is awesome and I am glad he is here, but unlike Tiger Woods being 8 shots back in a major on Sunday afternoon and still getting TV coverage, the Jets have to do well this year or the party will quickly wane.
Luckily Brett Favre-led teams always do well. Having Favre on your team pretty much gaurantees you 9 wins. The rest is up to the supporting cast and health. They'll be in it enough to have 16 games matter. So don't worry about the national coverage dropping off.
Welcome to the Jets, nothing is guaranteed. We had Ronnie Lott and Art Monk drop by on their way to the Hall of Fame with Boomer Esiason at QB and we still went 6-10.
Please let's not get carried away, OK? Lol, having Favre didn't even "guarantee" the PACKERS winning nine games every year, as recently as two and three years ago, in the much weaker NFC North & in a system he could recite in his sleep. I sincerely believe he is a great player and a Difference Maker, but he is not friggin' SUPERMAN ok? In the end if they are in it, it will be because the TEAM is good, not just one man.
Cool, no need to hit the bar this Sunday. Is this the first time in history that two teams that combined for 5 wins get the nationally televised week 1 game?
Damnit! Why does Denver always get KC games! I always get screwed. I guess i'll be in the bar early this week.
