I agree with Cohen there. Ned Yost is being silly caring about whether Sabathia's folly should have been recorded as a hit or error.

    Who gives a shit?

Church really has shown absolutely nothing since he came back. I wonder how long he's going to continue to play everyday if he keeps struggling.

For a couple weeks, I wouldn't start him on consecutive days unless he starts to produce. Then I'd reevaluate the situation during the middle of the month.

    Sounds like both.

I didn't see your thread. I actually only started it because I thought no one else was going to. I should've scrolled down farther, I guess.

The Brewers are abusing him with the intent of not re-signing him. I don't think they think they have a shot.

I don't mind. I started posting in both because it seemed funny to me. I messed up the title of mine. "Nym" was supposed to be "NYM."

Santana has apparently settled down, but the Mets have done absolutely nothing for 4 innings (10 down in a row).

And as soon as I say that Sheets is pinch hit for in the bottom of the 5th! An incredible break for the Mets.

The Mets are saved due to Sheets being made out of glass

They still have to score off the bullpen, which hasn't exactly been the Mets strength this year.

Anyone called up by the Mets who would make his ML debut this month, can be on the playoff roster. I hadn't been sure about that rule.

Better chance against the Brewers bullpen than a pitcher that was cutting through our lineup like a hot knife through butter.

Lots of Ks, but all of a sudden Santana looks like he might not make it past 6.

Sorry Keith, I really couldn't care less if Anheuser-Busch merges with a Belgian/Brazilian company.

Hit-and-run works perfectly. Wright HAS to come through here.

ANOTHER horrible at-bat for Wright. That is unforgiveable in that spot.

Big fail for the Mets. That's twice Reyes should have scored and didn't.

Marlins were heavily favored, but they're tied 3-3 with the Braves in the 9th.

At this point the best you can hope for is Santana getting through this inning without a run, and then hoping that all of these new pitchers can be effective. I don't see him making it into the 7th.

I must say, after all of the games you post every day where heavy favorites lose, it seems pretty pointless to even think about it that way. Baseball is so dependent on the performance of two men (the starting pitchers) that to me the notion of a heavy favorite is pretty ridiculous.
