They want as many people familiar with the playbook as possibly now that they don't dare turn the cameras on again.
well it's not like he's gonna be able to reveal anything in the playbook since it's clear he never looked at it
Bender signed to Patriots practice squad WTF is going on ? Why isn't he on our practice squad ? http://www.patriots.com/news/index.cfm?ac=latestnewsdetail&pid=33586&pcid=47
First Posciak, now Bender to the Pats. Garner to the Phins. Come on Bills, you the only one's left in the division who hasn't got a piece of the action yet. WTF?
Funny...I thought the Bills (Belicheat and Parcells) were against poaching players from coaches in their own coaching tree...hmm
Well, this proves that belichicken feels that he cannot win against the jets unless he cheats or peeks into the jets playbook. He must still remember how the jets played the pats even last year in foxboro even though the jets had the worst OL and DL in the league. And how the jets beat them two years ago. Now let's see how well the patsies play against a good OL and DL and a good QB. His legacy takes another hit. He is a serial cheater and a scumbag. This is only the third player cut by the jets that he picked up, Hobson, Bender. Pociask. How many superbowls would he have won if he hadn't cheated? I'll zero, since he won three superbowls by only three points each.
If you sign a player from another team's practice squad, it must be to your active roster. Bender had been waived and thus was a FA. The Pats could sign him to any contract they wanted, including a practice squad contract.
Signing off the PS definitely requires placement on the active roster. In this case, by the time he signed Bender, he already "cleared" waivers (noon yesterday) and now, you can do with him what you want. I'm not sure he could have claimed him before 12 noon yesterday and put him on the PS. Regardless, BB cannot seriously think this guy can play in the NFL--its got to be "psychological" or in his case, "pathological".
Pats put claims in on a few OL before Bender...he certainly wasn't a first choice....getting the guys that clear 30 other teams first means you don't usually get the cream of the crop......unlike a 4-12 team.... They did get OT LeVoir who is a ND (Charlie Weiss) alum......Bender is history as soon a Neal is healthy.....
Bender was an experiment that just didn't work out. Quite frankly I was more upset about losing this year's 7th rounder Nate Garner to Miami. I thought he had more upside than Bender.
