Patriots released LB Victor Hobson. The former Jet didn't adapt to inside linebacker. The Patriots only gave him a $40,000 signing bonus, but they thought he could make the team. Junior Seau could get back in the mix now. Hobson would be great for depth, plus might have some inside info on NE's plans. Couldn't hurt to bring him back, I always liked him.
i cant think of anyone who i would release in order to bring him back. yeah i definitely cant even though i dont think we need quite as many tes as we have or wr but none of them should go in favor of him. and we need a rb a whole lot more than hobson.
Aw man I thought Belichick was going to kill us with Hobson since he was going to make him an ILB? Just another example of TGGers overracting...
I don't recall Victor playing special teams. If he can't/won't do that, then he's not fulfilling the role of a backup linebacker and shouldn't be re-signed.
You were a blind fan, he was very slow, did not react quick, and got pushed out of almont every running play I can remember. I must have screamed out his name in vain over 30 times last season alone. No joke.
hobson could be an average 4-3 linebacker.... why he signed a contract with NE to once again fail in the 3-4? bad career decision
