    Here are the Cuts:

RB ? Jehuu Caulcrick, Jessie Chatman (suspended, steroids)

TE ? Jason Pociask, A.J. Schable

WR ? David Ball, Larry Brackins, Paul Raymond

OL ? Jacob Bender, Stanley Daniels, Kyle DeVan, Nate Garner, Matt McChesney

DL ? Thomas Johnson, Bryan Mattison, Ropati Pitoitua

LB ? Blair Phillips, Brandon Renkart, Matt Chatham

DB ? Rudy Burgess, James Ihedigbo, Hank Poteat, Cameron Worrell (waived/injured)

    ----------------------------------------------------------

Who do you wish was kept? Who would you like on the Practice Squad?

Hank Poteat definitely. i really liked how he has played hard for us the past few seasons and he is capable of playing effectively (or at least was, i haven't watched him much in Preseason if anyone can tell me how he has played).

i thought Chatman's agent said that "the jets have not released him, nor will they". Maybe that was before the suspension?

Maybe you aren't allowed to release a suspended player. That would figure in the world we live in today.

    Poteat.

I swear...Barrett's dick-sucking skills must be up there with Vanessa Del Rio & Kay Parker. I cannot believe how far this guy has made it on this team.

i remember Poteat was sitting in free agency for awhile before we decided to pick him up again this year. it will be interesting to see if he gets signed by another team. Hopefully he does, i think he deserves it, but that's just my opinion.

Ihedigbo was cut according to the first post of this thread.

Poteat was just an average backup. I don't see any reason to get up in arms over him.

I was just gonna say that.

I'll miss Ball- none of the others.

He was fun to watch in camp- a poor man's Chrebet. Hope he catches on somewhere.

You could tell bender was outclassed by the other guys once callahan started teaching the group. It was apparent. maybe he'll be signed to the PS. I tend to doubt it.

Poteat has always been solid for us. Sad to lose him, everyone else, not so much.

i will miss thomas johnson i thought he did pretty well and was just a casualty of the numbers. ihedigbo was interesting because he brought the leather and i like that but he made too many boneheaded plays. i would imagine they may both be on the ps.

I'll think we'll all be missing Poteat the most if Carroll ever sees the field on defense.

I thought Caulcrick would make it, but he looked bad vs the Eagles. Also, Raymond, with the BIG exception of his endzone drop, looked promising.

I expect both to make the PS if not claimed

Lots of love here for Poteat. But look at the guys on the roster and tell me who Poteat plays better than. I don't see anybody (except for maybe Barrett when you consider his salary):

    starters
    DARRELLE REVIS CB
    DWIGHT LOWERY CB
    KERRY RHODES S
    ERIC SMITH S

    special teams - KR
    JUSTIN MILLER CB
    AHMAD CARROLL DB

    backups
DAVID BARRETT CB - also can play S
DREW COLEMAN CB - younger and much faster than Poteat
ABRAM ELAM S - good special teams tackler and lays the wood at Safety

I really wish Thomas Johnson had made the roster. A team can never have too many DL. Those big fatties get tired quickly so it's good to be able to rotate them a lot.

I'd much rather have another NT than Cody Spencer.
