~ ~ ~ 14. Jets Consecutive sellouts: 249 | Season-ticket waiting list: 9,000 The Jets' sellout streak and season-ticket waiting list are impressive considering their fans have endured three years with six or fewer victories since 2003. Jets fans are rabid and quite ribald. The NFL this month issued a fan code of conduct partly in response to the goings-on at Gate D at the Meadowlands, where unruly fans harassed women during games. -- Tim Graham > http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/preview08/columns/story?id=3549100 ___________________

we got to be the best fans its been 40 years since we went to the super bowl jet fans have endured so much pain the fact that anyone goes to the games is amazing
I saw this article and had to laugh. First, there's no way to rank an entire fan base. Every one is filled with good and bad fans. As it pertains to the Jets, there is a glaring error. Each aspect was ranked on a scale of 1-5 with 1 being great and 5 being terrible. They gave the Jets a 4 for tailgating which is silly. Obviously, the writer has never been to a tailgate at a Jet game. They gave better tail gating numbers to the Ravens, Titans and Falcons. I have been to Nashville and Baltimore for games and the party atmosphere was nothing to write home about. Even mentioning Atlanta and tailgating is laughable. The Georgia Dome is smack dab in the middle of Atlanta and has limited parking lots to enable tail gating. It is virtually non existent. To give them the same number as the Jets means the writer must have gotten "lucky" at the Jocks and Jills at CNN Center the last time he attended a Falcons game.
1. Pittsburgh 2. Green Bay 3. Cleveland 4. Philadelphia 5. Kansas City 6. Washington 7. Denver 8. New England 9. Oakland 10. Giants I have a problem with the Steelers fans getting the #1 spot. They left a home playoff game in droves because the Steelers were losing. The Steelers eventually won the game. That was the 2002 Wild Card Game vs Cleveland. I'd rank the Packers and Browns fans over the Steelers fans. I might even rank the Chiefs and Redskins fans above them, but I'd still have them in the top 10. I would not put the Patriots and Raiders fans in the top 10.
The Patriots fans definitely shoud NOT be any where near the top 10. What a joke. Half of their fan base weren't even fans until 2001
half their fanbase shit its more like 70% to 80% of their fanbase. i can tell you this much if craig james wasnt on espn the majority of their fans would have no idea who he is. as they have no idea who john stephens is or andre tippett. the fact the patsies are in the top 10 makes this article not worth giving credit to.
I have a problem with the "hate" (other teams perception of your fanbase) factor. Philly's hate factor was 2. That is insane. No one is more hated and despised than idiot philly fans. The fact that we got the highest score you could get for hate and thy didn't immediately invalidated this list. Pats fans shouldn't be even close to where they are unless there was a score for the bandwagon factor.
We have a very young, passionate and often immature fan base. In about 10-15 years...I think the overall fan base will be alot larger(us all having kids) and alot more respected(mature w/ age). I expect at that point w/ all our passion..and the fact that we likely wont have a championship to call our own, that we'll be alot more respected league wide.
I say, instead of being all drunk and crazy over the boobies at Gate D... we just ask the girls VERY VERY nicely to PLEEEEEEEEEASE show your T....I....T......S tits tits tits. I'm sure we can move up a few spots next year!!! LOL
It's sort of a drag sharing a stadium with another team, but Giants fans are more loyal than Jets fans. That's the review on the Giants one...
I hope so. We'll have a ring by then...maybe it'll be like getting laid as a fanbase and we can stop being such a bi-polar bunch...
What's the matter, Kelly? No response to your fellow countryman? FFan, welcome to theganggreen! Don't feel put off by Kelly; he's a strange chick!
This article is so badly wrong that it is pitiful. They have the NFL's best fans ranked 32nd. If you are a diehard Cardinals fan then you are a better fan than any other fan of another team in the NFL. You have barely seen your team makes the playoffs in your lifetime. You have watched laughable coaching administrations come and go like clockwork. You hate Rich Kotitie? Well, ever other Cardinals coach since about 1970 has been Rich Kotite quality. Coaches with great success elsewhere (Dennis Green) have come to Arizona and turned into Rich Kotite overnight. If you are a diehard fan of that team then you are one of the NFL's best fans. I can't figure out how the writer could have gotten this so bass-ackwards. It's EASY to be a Steeler's fan.
