Let's make it more confusing. What if each of you 9200 pre-1978 ticket holders each own 4 seats. Then what?
Again, wrong. I even called the ticket office to confirm this: http://www.newjetsstadium.com/faq.php "Can I transfer my PSL? PSL can be transferred, subject to the Jets Transfer Policy, once a year after March 1, 2011. Once you transfer a PSL you will no longer have any rights as it relates to that seat(s). Those seats without PSLs associated with them ? the entire upper bowl ? are non-transferable." This is a big deal to me, and again why I kinda feel like the Giants plan - $1000 licenses but you get transfer rights - is better in the long run.
That is why I think the 5k seats will be the first to go. Most people with season tix can afford the 5k over 3 years.

For the people that are still confused... Possible PSL: 25000 20000 15000 10000 5000 4000 When the PSL seats go on sale, you will choose which PSL/sections you are willing to pay for. They will then start assigning the $25000 seats based on seniority and current seat assignment, and then by time on the waiting list. Once the current season ticket holders are seated, any remaining seats in the $25000 sections (if any) will go to people on the waiting list, creating new season ticket holders. Next is the $20000 seats, same drill, and so on. As many people will come off the waiting list as it takes until all the PSL seats are sold. Then they repeat the same process with everyone who didnt get a PSL seat, as well as everyone that opted not to purchase a PSL seat. Non-PSL seats will then be assigned based on seniority and current seat location (no way anyone on the waiting list is getting a non-PSL seat). Current season ticket holders who still don't have a seat at that point, are out of luck and return to the waiting list. I could easily see 20,000 recent season ticket holders getting bumped out of the stadium.
I agree, I can see over 50% of the people in PSL areas wanting to move up the non-PSL area. That will force most of the upper deck people now to either move down to pay for the PSL or go back on the waiting list.
My hope is that enough upper deck people take the plunge and purchase PSL seats in the lower level, before the upward mass exodus happens.
I have 4 seats at the 30yrd line in the lower deck (visiting side). I called the Jets who confirmed I am a "1977" guy. I plan to move to the no psl seats. I should be ok in getting seats, but I get screwed a little bit on seniority since I have not tried to improve my seats in the last 20 years because I like my neighbors (Priority= Seniority + seat position).
My guess is that lots of PSL seats won't be sold initially but once the mass exodus to the upper deck takes place next spring, all the people who were closed out will suck up whatever PSL seats are remaining. Because the low cost PSL's will go sooner, the Jets will get their higher cost PSL's sold last, but sold nonetheless.
