Glad Mike is back!! It's also very encouraging that he's doing so well. I was in a motorcycle accident 13 months ago today, which shattered my left femur, and I'm STILL not walking. Maybe I'll ask about this procedure.
This is awesome news. As has been said already, it's great not just for the Jets, but also that the surgery went so well that he's not just recovered, but able to actually get back out on the field.
Apparently someone is not satisfied with O'Dea's work... But then, missing 23 yd FG is not something to be happy about either so...
Please don't tell me you are blaming Odea for Nugents miss at the end of the skins game? God I hope you arent... Glad to see westhoff back in action, and really am excited to see two of the top ST coaches in the game today (one of the best ever) try to coexist and give us the best special teams group in Jets history!
This is great news, not just because he's coming back to the Jets, but if he able to go back into football it must mean the surgery was a success.
Shit! Sorry to hear that Tony. Are you in a chair? Damn seems like ages ago when this happened. I went crazy after 6 months on crutches let alone being in a chair! Good luck to you Tony, get a second opinion too.
I wasn't blaming O'Dea. In a way I feel bad for O'Dea - he shouldn't be penalized for Boobway blunder.
Naw, man, I'm still on crutches. What is at issue right now is that my wrist, which was damaged every bit as badly as my leg, just can't take the crutches anymore. Even is they could put in a new femur, there is no guarentee that my left foot will ever function properly again, either. That took a horrible shot as well. I am glad for Westhoff, and it really does give me hope that they can get me walking again. I mean, the guy is 60, and he had the procedure done and rehab'd it in 7 months time. I'm only 41, and I'm one tough old boot anyway. I could do this as well.
Oh shit. I hope you get well. Motorcycle accidents are usually vicious - to an extreme degree, nonetheless. I've seen one case, where the bike rider practically rolled under the gas tanker. He was completely paralyzed initially, then got his motion on his torso back. He never got his legs moving though - and is living on a wheelchair. The worst thing is that the accident is in no part his fault. A stupid drunkard walked into the traffic lane, and the rider tried to avoid the idiot, and ended up under the massive tanker. All in all, I hope you get well soon! Peace.
I'm confused now. Is this just a rumor, or is it true? Mangini talked like Westhoff was still not a Jets coach today.
hAD TO ADD WATCHED WESTHOFF BREAK HIS CANE OVER A DB'S HELMET WHEN HE MADE A BAD PLAY AT pANTHERS GAME A FEW YEARS BACK. gOTTA LOVE THAT ENERGY
