I'm not worried about the Fins because I took a look at their roster and no one scares me to the point where I think Favre couldn't light that defense up. Travis Daniels??? :rofl2:

And now they don't even have Travis Daniels anymore, they traded him to the Browns for a draft pick yesterday.

Wow. Who is going to stop Cotchery? Forget about the rest of the offense. Favre to Cotch is already a tough connection to contain, and they now have no one to deal with it? The Fins depress me.

Their D line is ancient as well, and they don't have Taylor anymore. Or Thomas. Most of those starters are coming back from injuries as well. Why are some people scared of this team sneaking a win on week 1? This should be a game where you take the points and the over.

I think they have Jason Ferguson and two rookie d-ends for their 3-4 line. I'm not so worried about their defense as I am their running game if Jenkins is sucking wind. If they are able to consistently run they can control the tempo of the game.

I expect both teams to be running a lot on offense having QB's that don't know the offense very well.

I wonder how tired he was last year when he was pushing 400 pounds. I think he will be fine..he will be taken out on most 3rd down situations.

What I am concerned with is that he is losing weight and maintaining his below-260 contract clause in a way that is affecting his conditioning. Sacrificing energy for weight loss isn't a good thing for a pro athlete, especially one of his size.

I don't want Kris getting in fighting shape too fast. I don't want him to lose a lot of necessary weight. He needs to ease into the season. There's still three weeks to go. There are plenty of opportunities to build up that huge wind power.

More importantly, the rotating DL modules have got to get their asses up to speed. We do not want there to be an 80% drop off when Kris' unit is off the field. The second and third modules have to get in gear and learn what they are supposed to do at the point of attack.

This is what the preseason is for. We need consistency between the DL modules, first and foremost. ...Just don't care for Kris running 30 wind sprints every day.

you know most teams have been saying the same thing about the jets for a few years now.........

it is a bit differnet this year but it is imperative they get off to a good start - not necessarily record wise - but good shows against the elite in weeks 2 and 3.

i am sure most of us will pencil in a 1-2 record but we want the pats and bolts to realize they may just have to play this team again in january.

That could be a major mistake for the Jets. Why play to Miami's strength? Exploit their weak secondary, score early. Make them get away from their running game, and make Chad bring them from behind with a passing game.

Those other teams aren't division rivals. I try to keep an eye on the Fins, and although their camp seems to be running smoothly like ours, I don't see where the talent is.

After 2005, we had a lot of starters returning from injury, like they do this year, but we didn't lose any leaders. They lost all their leaders, and gained one behind center that the Jets know inside and out since the day he was drafted.

I'm not 1000% confident about this win, but I'm close. They just wont shock people like the Jets 06 team did, especially since they haven't been a playoff team in 6 years. The 06 team was a good team in 04 and most of those people back.

I see the Jets winning by 7 or more.

He never did that here, and he had his receivers here. Now he has no receivers.

I expect Chad to complete a lot of passes, but inside the 20s. Stop Ricky- win game by huge margin. That D isn't stopping Brett Favre.

Well, how much he's strengthened his D line I don't know. I mean, he's traded his best D lineman. If any team should know what Chad's going to do, it's us. Stack the line against the run and somebody has got to cover Ricky/Ronnie and beware the dump off. Chad loved dumping it to Richie Anderson and Curtis all those years. The fin's have absolutely NOTHING at the WR position...

I'm sure this game will be closer than we'd like, but the bottom line is, we're by far the more talented team. Plus, keep in mind, Parcells isn't on the sideline anymore. A guy with no experience as a head coach is and we have no idea what he'll do when the lights come on...

I think it is a bad idea to just write off Ted Ginn. He may not have justified the pick he was taken with off the bat but he showed a lot of talent to me and I think he's going to be an excellent YAC receiver, the type of guy that Chad will benefit from until Ginn gets his bell rung too many times.

Yes, but in all fairness to Chad, I think the majority of Chrebet's concussions came from badly-thrown passes by Vinny.

Well to be completely fair Chrebet's concussions came from him being 180lbs & playing like a LB... I'm not sure it really mattered who the QB was in his regard...

Ugh, come on, man, Vinny's accuracy in his last year and a half of starting was worse than the passes I saw Rex Grossman throwing last night. He was horrible. It was like he thought WC was 6'5". Chrebet had a lot of heart and a lot of it was on him, but really, do you want your players pulling up for fear of injury? Like Santana Moss running for the sidelines on returns?

Most of his concussions came because he was absolutely fearless over the middle and got killed on well thrown passes.
