to give his teammates no curfew and meeting, yet a virtually meaningless FG (more liek extra point) attempt hits the uprights... not counting the early one he missed too but 1 outta 3 just aint gonna cut it, especially in this division

Wasnt this the same guy who was nearly perfect in college?

Anyone else have Doug Brien memories last night...Special teams might be our downfall this year

Kevin O'dea better wake him up

Nugent is an 82% kicker. That's pretty damn good.

    He'll be fine.

^^ Missing a 20 yard kick under pressure to at least extend the game must fit into the ‘acceptable’ 18% misses for you then?

    Not me.

The kick should not have been attempted, but thats beside the point.

Honestly....Nuggent probally will be a great kicker 1 day, but its' not today. Jets need to look to improve the Kicker position. actually Jets need to improve the kicker/punter positions. Redskins pnter was killing the damn footbal. Outkicking Graham by about 20 yds a kick....DAMN....

Now...back to Nuggent. For such a high draft pick, he's been very mediocre.
-What are his strengths...He's white ? He's from Ohio ST ?
My point...he has none. He doesn't have long kickoffs; he doen't kick 50 yd plus fgs; he isn't 100% or 95 % from the 45yd line or closer...he isn't clutch or automatic....so ? Really Jets can't count on him. If Jets weren't trying to save face, because he's such a high draft pick, he would be gone or in a stiff competition.

Jay Feely's Salary was $1,825,000 do we have that kind of cap space?

Bring in Jeremy Ito from Rutgers just to push Nugent in camp.

Nugent has disappointed me every year. Not just one FGs, but kickoffs. I thought when we drafted this guy he was going to force touchbacks on kickoffs. Heck, he cant even make the endzone most of the time.

    Kickers?

Jeremy Ito is a great kicker, personally from living in central jersey i have gone to many Rutgers games and seen him kick in games and in practice. Anyway can anyone recall the kicker that in college would have his back to the ball before kicking it?
