Nice article. I can't believe what an ugly Uniform he had in High school. I think that may be the only High School in North America where the Geeky Kids beat up on the football team for dressing terribly
Joe Namath is no longer a Jet either yet people talk about him all the time. There's nothing wrong with discussing news about well-known former players.
I know that you're one of the biggest Chad supporters on this board. Get past the fact that he played for the team and consider that he's now a Dolphin. If we allowed posts to remain when they spoke of former players who played on new teams, what identity would the "Jets" forum really have? The forum caption says "Talk about our beloved New York Jets." It does not say "Talk about former Jets playing for other teams."
That article was nothing but a huge cock-massage for Chad. You know...Champ...for someone who used to hate on Chad, you sure like to post follow-up stories on him and insist on posting them in the New York Jets forum.
If you are going to make accusations about me please get them right. I did not hate CP I just MHO is that he no longer had the ability to get us a SB championship. Hopefully you to realize the diisadvantages to having CP as our QB
It doesn't say talk about retired Jet players either. It's not that I'm a Chad supporter. It's that I don't think bringing in a 39-year old QB is the answer for the Jets. I was all for giving Clemens a shot last year. It wouldn't have bothered me to see him start this year either. But it was clear that at this stage of their careers Pennington is a better QB. Plus Clemens just doesn't look like he's going to be a long-term solution. People can look at other QBs like Manning and say he didn't have a great first year either. But you could see in Manning's first year that he was going to be a good QB. You couldn't see that with Clemens. So bottom line, from a football perspective, I don't see the point in bringing in a 39-year old stop gap QB when you already have a 32-year old who's given his heart to the team. And contrary to what some people think I don't want to see Favre fail because I don't want to see the Jets fail. But I just don't think he's going to do for this team what others think.
Well, Chad is playing for champ's real favorite team now. By the way, he doesn't look a whole lot different now than he did then. I wish him the best but not the Dolphins. A friend of mine played four years with the Pats and four with Miami, so I've previously pulled for an individual to do well but his team to fail. It will be strange, I just hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the ass.
Draft blunder What I don?t understand is why didn?t the Jets draft Brady Quinn in 2007 or Matt Leinart in 2006?
You also if you are going to make accusations about me please get them right. As usual in this case you have posted another untruth. Hopefully you were joking even though it would be difficult for others to figure that out
Unrelated, but just heard that Ray Lucas is part of 1050 NY Jet game announcing duo. Perhaps this is common knowledge back in NY, but hearing his name did evoke painful memories of Detroit (week 16?) during the Parcells regime (1st year?).
