Pffft, I don't follow college ball, but any Jets fan worth their salt knows Alabama and Bear. Plus Namath was a scrambler, and a double threat before he got caned on his knees. He knew how to read defense, even though he appeared to be dumb as a stick. Which brings me to Aaron Glenn. I only do read-ups when the draft is upon us. I whooped over that one. Forget the spike. He played tall every game.
Lol, I'm a new Jets fan, but yes, I knew that. I LIVE in Alabama. Where did Bart Starr go to college? Or Favre for that matter? Since we're playing this fun game. And what team did Favre upset in college, 3 weeks after having 30 inches of his intestines removed as a result of a car accident?
Starr went to Bama...Brett was So. Miss Where did Richard Todd go to College is the real question...LOL:smile:
Who IS Richard Todd? And it was again, the Tide that Favre beat in an upset 3 weeks after that car wreck. We have pretty much now exhausted my knowledge of college football, other than knowing some other Tide players, like Sean Alexander. That's about it.
Yeah, me too. Driver used to say he'd broken several fingers catching passes from Favre, but I was never sure whether he was serious. Edit: I guess it is true: "Now a favorite target of Favre's, Driver has broken fingers holding on to the three-time MVP's missiles." http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=98655
I had a choice in life growing up in Upstate NY. Be a Bills fan and embrace the hillbilly lifestyle. Be a Giants fan and enjoy SB wins, or be a Jets fan and justify bitching about everything. Also my name is Todd, and when Richard Todd was the Jets QB, I thought it was cool. Especially when I got a Todd Jets jersey on my birthday.
Back to the topic at hand, I don't think Franks will even be utilized all that much. It looks like Keller will get the majority of the time, and so far Franks hasn't even practiced much has he? From all I've heard, he's just been on the bike. Also if he was gonna see any modicum of time, Mangini would have made a comment about something something on the field, or what his game brings to the offense... instead he just attested to his character
I thought Bubba looked solid last year when he was playing. He made some great catches. He got injured, though. 2006 was not a good year for him.
LMAO! No one's every had a jersey with my name on it. I was born a Packers fan pretty much, because of my Dad, and Favre was just the icing on my cake. It's interesting making a conscious, or perhaps conscience, decision about who to root for. But I did love Montana, and rooted for him like crazy with the Chiefs. So, I suppose I'm falling into a pattern.
Franks is a good player. I hope he's healthy and plays A LOT. The interesting thing in those articles was the way the team is gelling and dealing with Favre's rocket arm. I can't wait to see them all in action Saturday.
He's broken a bunch of other guy's fingers, too, including Robert Brooks'. jsonline.com/packer/sbxxxiii/news/pack72898.stm
You know what i always wanted to know? What is it called when someone posts at the same time you do, and then when you go back to the board, expecting to see your post as the most recent one, another poster's post is already there. (Like what i just did after PF4's post). there's gotta be an iword for it.
