Ratliff has shown progress while Clemens has stalled or, even worse, regressed. I'd let Ratliff have first dibs with the second team offense against the Skins.

Let Clemens rip up the 3rd team defense of the Skins and boost his trade value. The less he sees the field, the better his trade value will be.

my take: trade Clemens for a mid-late round pick.

The thing i find funny is, 2 weeks ago everybody used to call for Pennington"s head, and
said Clemens should be the guy.
now that we've got Favre, everyone's calling for Clemens head, and annointing Ratliff as the future.

God i love being a JETS fan!!

How many times have I said Ratliff in Clemens/Pennington debate threads?

Either way, here's a funny tidbit to me - I've commonly heard that Favre is "not a good teacher", yet quite a few of his backups (Hasselbeck, Brunell, Detmer to a lesser extent and now Rodgers, who I think is the real deal) have done (or I believe will do) pretty damned well for themselves. I believe that Favre is being brought in not only to give us a better chance right now, but to continue Ratliff's progression. You know Mangini likes projects on defense, why should we expect otherwise on offense?

Yeah, I agree. If he really is getting significantly more time at practice then Clemens and he continues to outperform him on the field (I know it was only one game folks) then I think you have to start to take Ratliff seriously. It's as simple as that.
