Just posted on the DULL-PHINS website. They are cracking me up, over there! Thier big comeback, for us getting Brett is,"you guy's are still not beating the CHEAT-TRIOTS(LOL)! I asked who they were gonna pick, at #1, next year.
Best shot teams have of beating us, is the early games. As the season goes on, we should only get stronger.
What's even more scary is that Miami will now know our entire offense inside and out better than our own QB will.
I wouldn't call it a disaster, he set us up with good players that we won with for a few years after he left. The only thing saving us here is that Parcells is not coaching Miami, it's a good thing for that.
Hope U R kidding since I would hope the NYJ P/book before BF will not be the P/book that BF will be using since BF is not known to be a noodle arm
i am sure chad will have his hands plenty full trying to figure out the dollfag playbook too, and if they put their qb in a position where he worries more about what their defense does against our offense they are going to be in trouble on the offensive side of the ball. now by the time we play them a 2nd time i think that things will be different enough that its not that big a deal. holy confusing post batman!!!
Either way... most everyone has been saying he'd never make that money anywhere else, and that he'd never start anywhere else either. Failed on both accounts. Still $!@%%! sucks he signed with Miami though. :finssuck:
They will likely tweak somethings, or emphasize different plays based on Brett's abilities, but it is still going to be the same playbook and offense for the most part. Chad to the Dolphins will help the Fins defense with what he knows early on. Not sure it will be enough though.
I'm not sure the playbook they had was designed around Chad in the first place, since they didn't know if he'd ever play again when they came here with it. But they're going to have to change it around anyway, first to make it so Favre can be effective from Week 1 and especially now that the guy who knew it the best is our Week 1 opponent. It's not all on Favre to learn it, the coaches are going to have to work with him and now they will have to change a lot of their signals and terminology. If you don't think Chad will be spending time with the Miami D coaches leading up to that game you're mistaken.
guaranteed is not even close to the same playbook. Miami couldn't beat us if they had our playbook, twice the camera's BB had, and our radio signals used to call plays.
We're going to put a whole new playbook in in four weeks and scrap everything the whole offense has done since May or whenever?
If Favre will be struggling to learn our offense before week 1, how will Chad have time to learn theirs, work with the receivers and break down our offense (which he's trying to get out of his head to make way for the new one) for their defense? It's so unlikely.
If that's the case how did he win the job in 06 and why was he winning it again this camp? And even that was true, he still knows what the playbook is, which is now all that matters.
While you are right that he is better than what you had (which isn't saying much), his arm strength is still very weak and will get weaker as the season goes on.
Because we had a rookie in 06 and a struggling sophomore in camp going up against him this year. Our QB situation had been a major problem for the past 2 years. And so long as we change the signals which we will, it will nullify him remembering anything about our playbook.
