    It's always funny to hear people say that a defense sucks in the pre-season. As if they haven't watched football long enough to realize, in the pre-season, the defense just plays the most basic, vanilla packages they have so they don't give anything away.

    Our defense looks like the Notre Dame defense. The first string was bad. Second string was atrocious. If we lose any starters on defense forget about it.

    Why did the Jets offense struggle so bad with Clemens then? That's what they said last year and our defense continued to suck balls in the regular season until the bye week.

    Eh, it cuts both ways. The browns O isnt doing anything out of the ordinary- just getting the better of the Jets.

    The defense is just getting beat. it would be nice if Sutton had the guys ready to play a pre-season game, without any excuses.

    yep. i mean, i understand you show nothing in preseason, but the one-on-one matchups are noteworthy, and we don't look good there either.

    I agree that preseason means nothing.. but the Browns have all the same conditions etc

    Well, the obvious, Kellen Clemens is not a good football player.

    That's what they said last year... that's what they say EVERY year for EVERY team. The '96 Jets were 5-0 in the pre-season. You can't tell anything by these games because teams just run basic plays, especially on defense. They're not giving anything away.
