When I first got word that the trade had been finalized, I ruined my favorite pair of shorts. It was so worth it.
It's not that he's not excited to be here, this just isn't his type of thing. He's not like A-Rod, he doesn't light up when there are cameras around. And that's magnified even more because of recent weeks when all he's been around has been cameras and reporters. He's just a quiet guy who wants to play football. Nothing wrong with that.
Wonder how many users with "farve" in their name will join the board....no disrespect farve4life. Theres a lot Farve fans out there who will cheer for whatever team he plays for., just like a lot of bear "fans" became Saint fans when ditka coached there.
Every sports journalist I've heard talk about Favre says he is an absolutely awesome interview, I think he is probably just a little overwhelmed right now.
im one of those favre fans. but ive always followed the jets since my dad has always brought me to games over the years. now ive finally got that good reason to root for them!
Well it's Favre I made a typo rofl. I am sure tons will come over. He's a great player. The Jets have had a long die hard fan base for years and moves like this by the Jets management only brings more fans to the Jets and to sites like this and I'm sure many of them will be hooked on the Jets.
I guarantee you Brett is enthused. He's never been a guy to try to act the part in a presser. I've watched him do them for a number of years. Contrary to what some might think, he's a pretty quiet (and really shy) guy. But I can see in his eyes how bad he wants to win. And you know, once he gets on the field, he's gonna give it his all.
That sounds right. A lot of the small town, Southern players are similar in this regard. They're a great interview in the intimate one-on-one setting, but when all the cameras are on them and the lights are shining bright, they get a little overwhelmed.
he didnt wanna talk to the jets because he knew from the min he talked to them he would be convinced and it was a hurdle he didnt want to encounter at the time packers and him r both at fault knows nobody on the team or coaching staff outside of franks sick of media attention wants to just play football conditioning test is tommorrow knows he has alot of work ahead of him and is looking foward to going to meetings and practicing believes chemistry is most important thing on a football team (used giants as an example)
Watched him for years in GB, that is typical, he comes agross laid back, but there is no bigger competitor om the field. Good locker room guy, too. The year they won the SB, he was just out of rehab for vicodin, he stood up and said "go ahead, bet against me." Think that is just how he is feeling now, you will get everything he has.
If Brett thinks he has to do it all, the fact that hes a gunslinger will come out and it can lead to INTs. In the 30 some days till opening day he needs to be assured that he doesn't have to do it all.
Eventually the press conference will surface on the internet. When it does, someone has to make a .gif of Brett winking
Here is a link to him winking have fun and send the gif to my inbox http://www.yousendit.com/download/Q01FT2pPdzg1bmhjR0E9PQ
