I heard Favre is not sure he wants the press conference . He needs time to meet with his family to determine whether he wants to hold a press conference, where it should be if he does, and what the best time would be to hold it. He is not sure his heart is in a press conference right now and that he can give the press his best answers.
I just hope he doesnt say any gurantees...those dont look well anymore, plus the scrutiny would be enormous.
I read that, just thought you might want to elaborate. But that's ok, I'm glad you are on board :up:. Personally I think it is a very effective short-term bandaid that didn't cost us much. It gives Clemens, Ainge, and the QB I think we will be drafting high the next few years, time to develop and learn behind a HOF QB. It gives the FO time to find a long term solution at the QB. It is a win-win. I say this even though I find Favre annoying. But it is good for the franchise.
It's been speculated (somewhere on the air this morning... can't remember where) that Chad is leaving Cleveland enroute to NY first... probably to take care of cleaning things out, final paperwork, picking up personal things from his residence, etc. From there, he'll probably be going to wherever, but I don't think he'll be hanging around very long. When it's over, it's over. Nobody wants to hang around where they know they're not wanted.

Negatives Tannenbaum had to overcome to entice Favre to come to NY: 1) They don't serve possum in any of the area restaurants. 2) You're not allowed to discharge shotguns within Florham Park city limits from the window of your pickup, even if you spot a stray deer who needs shootin'. 3) Other than McSorley's, there are relatively few spitoons to be found anymore in NYC area bars. 4) People here say "How ya doin'?", not "Hey!" 5) Ku Klux Clan members are generally not invited to nighttime family barbecues because they tend to light torches and scare neighbors. 6) It's considered unacceptable for cousins to marry one another. 7) Junk cars are not permitted to accumulate on one's front lawn.
