I realize it's one of the weakest sources out there, but PFT is floating the idea of Chad going to the Pats as Brady's backup? http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/08/07/pennington-to-be-cut-at-400-pm/ I personally don't think it would happen, but I'm curious what you all would think of that...
Chad wont go anywhere to be a non-playing backup. I think KC will make the strongest push for him, but I can see the Vikings and Bears also being interested.
Chad won't go to the Pats because he wants to be a starter. I am more worried about him ending up in Miami because he has more than a legitimate shot at starting there, and Parcells is pretty high on him. Either that or Minn possibly. I don't think Chicago or KC are going to be smart choices. Chicago is too windy, and KC is about to have its last tire fall off the bus.
I didn't see your post, but that's pretty funny! Now we finally know where they get their info...TGG.COM!
Chad is going to have opprtunities to start. He won't go to a team that he'll almost certainly not get on the field for. Vikings, KC, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago....
ehh possibly but he has no chance at any playing time there whereas he can go elsewhere and legitmatley challenge for playing time (minn, chi, kc, etc...) he also made it clear he wasnt satisfied as backup last yr and it all just doesnt seem likely unless he rly wants to stick it to the jets and i dont see that
I think Belichik respects Chad alot. He has had some very good games against the Pats, and can manage an offense well. I am sure that Bill would seriously consider bringing him in just in case something happened to brady. I just don't think Chad wants to be a benchwarmer. I really think he could put the Vikes over the top in that division.
