Long time: Sorry for the confusion below and hope it is not all jumbled up. 1.) Thompson said there was no plans to trade him in the division and the Packers statement even says so "We were not going to release him nor trade him to a team within the division. When Brett ultimately decided that he still wanted to play football, but not in Green Bay, we told him that we would work to find the best solution for all parties involved" Well the media would hound him after his last snap of the season every year. Also the team wanted an answer immediately every year. I heard the Bucs offers and no call back on the NFL channel and the local WI stations have mentioned it as well. Sorry no link online just from the TV. All teams do NOT have that much talent hurt! 2 starting WRs and down to the 5th string RB? You can not pin the blame for the loss in OT on Brett. Harris was worked over all game, they gave up on the run game, they did not ice the kicker in OT. That game should have never went to OT. They came damn close the next year (one game away or one G-man loss away). that and Green was not the same player he was before he got hurt. And yet nobody thought the G-men were going to win it all last year. hope that makes sense..
Exactly. I'd be willing to bet that at least half the guys that got drafted this year would have prefered to have been drafted by a different team. It doesn't mean they aren't going to play their ass off for the team they ended up on. Kris Jenkins preferred Washington or Baltimore - is anyone worried about him?
New here Jets fans! Im a Saints Fan Congrats on B.F you are now a contender!!!!!! Glad he didnt go to Tampon Gay...........Hehe Thanks for Vilma hes doing well. Maybe we meet in the Super Bowl:beer:
I don't want to have to hate the Saints for two weeks. Any other NFC team would be fine. If the Jets were to ever defeat the Cowboys in a Super Bowl, that would be the ultimate sports event for me.
Man, the Jets shop is so bogged down with traffic hits tonight...crazy way to find out about Favre - I was going in to buy a Rhodes jersey and the whole site's shut down.
^I was able to purchase my Gholston swingman after about 30 timeouts... Watch me get billed for 1,000 dollars and receive 8 medium Gholston jerseys.
Fantastic move. For all of you calling this a bad move - if he comes here and sucks and we don't make the play-offs we only give up a 2nd day pick; and we still get an actual teacher for our two young QB's under him.
The Vikings have a worse QB situation than the Jets. Why would you make a trade that makes your division rival, already a very good football team, stronger?
The Seahawks and Eagles will have a say about that. The Saints have to utilize Reggie Bush much better. It was disgusting watching that offense at times last year. So, so many dumpoffs to Bush behind the line of scrimmage. There were numerous plays where it was impossible for Bush to gain any YAC. They should get him on the field with Thomas often this year and put Bush in the slot and even use him as a wingback on occasion.
