They hear "Brett Favre" and they think of the Favre they saw 5 years ago or last year, and not the bad Favre of 2005 and 2006 or the numerous season ending picks he threw in playoff games. Most fans on this board think this is a good deal because it makes the Jets relevant. Big deal. Why did only 2 of 32 NFL teams want him??????????

If Favre gets injured late in the year and Clemens were to play in the SB (like Simms-Hostetler in 1990), then the Packers would not get a 1st round pick. It would only be a 2nd.

C'mon man. There are only a couple teams in the league with bad QB situations and the Jets were high atop that list. Did you expect 28 or 29 teams to have an interest in Favre?
