Let's just hope he's more decisive on the field then he is deciding if / where he wants to play . As one that wasn't gushing over Favre I hope that I'm wrong and that at 39 he can repeat last year's performance. For all of the fawning done over Favre I would assume that it will be OK to blame Favre if the Jets don't make the AFC Championship?
Do you think Favre reports to camp tomorrow? What's the schedule for practices tomorrow? I might have to head out to Hofstra.
I just heard Schefter on NFL Network say he believes part of the speculation COULD BE that if the Jets win the Super Bowl with Brett Favre, then the Packers get the Jets 1st round pick. If that doesn't happen, the compensation is believed to be dependent upon Favre's playing time and also years he plays. I knwo all of this is speculation, and nothing is concrete yet, but Schefter usually knows his shit and his sources seem to be, if not spot on, at least they're within the vicinity.
Based on the whisperings, I think this sounds about right. Mortensen reporting that Favre didn't exactly give his consent to this deal. Sounds like there are a few wrinkles to smooth out, but that's ok.
If we win a freakin Super Bowl they can have my soul and my first born! I think we would all happily lose a 1st round pick in that situation.
Why in the world would we do that? I hope that's not true, but at the same time it's hardly unexpected.
Mortensen is being a fukin Prick on ESPN right now. Reporting that "There is still Drama" because Favre would rather be a Buc. Mortensen keeps dropping names on who he spoke to, Favre's agent, Farve yesterday...blah blah... IMO He sounds sour. He spent all that time and didn't break shit.
