driving to work in arizona, and 620 am said that green bay wants a first from tampa and a 7th rounder from us....hope this is true...if so i think a deal will get done today
Second I could live with because it doesn't have the potential to be the top of the draft no matter what happens. In the poll they recently did here I said a second was as high as I'd go.
People on this site, all of a sudden, looking at this very fairly. Offering a 2nd rounder is very fair.
I mean, if we're going to be completely results-oriented, then there's really not much point to analyzing anything, is there? The regular season is a much better sample size and indicator of overall talent.
While you are sarcastic -- if his arm were not hanging by a thread -- he should be. He was two missed fgs and bad coaching away from the AFC Chmp game. He made the playoffs two other times also. For a team that went from 1970 to 2001 with making the playoffs SEVEN TIMES -- and then they make the playoffs with Chad as QB in 2002, 2004, 2006 -- thats not bad.
You must have misheard? A 2nd-rounder from the Jets would make sense. A 6-round disparity in demand would be utterly absurd.
Reasonable offer. I know the allure is there to play for the Bucs since they play the Pack in week 4 and if all pieces fall into place could meet in playoffs, but what's the opinion on how our vs. Bucs WRs and TEs stack up... Coles/Cotchery vs. Galloway/Clayton Baker/Keller (yeah yeah unproven)/Franks vs. Smith/Troupe
PLAYOFFS!?! Don't Talk about playoffs! Because making them really does not mean much if you don't win it all.
^ chad with a healthy arm is a top 5 qb, and the jets are contenders every year, it is a shame that its hanging by a thread, bc chad has everything but the arm
I don't think there's much question that the Jets have more talent on the offensive side. That's not say the Jets are a juggernaut, but the Bucs offense is pretty atrocious.
hmmm I need an excuse to ditch work in Madison, NJ and scout places for him to live in Florham Park, Madison or Chatham
Penny is far from a failure... that is pretty unfair on your part. I'm more worried about what it will cost us. I don't believe the FO will over-pay just to get Brett Favre, but the cost is what concerns me the most in this. Having Favre would be awesome... I consider him a huge upgrade at QB even for a year or two. So long as we don't sell the farm to get him.
Its not that every QB is a failure. Its just that too many people hang thier hat on being good with Penny. While we have been good, I don't see the potential to be great. The constant injurys have diminished what he can do on the field and it always seems like the next one is jsut around the corner.
all of a sudden Favre will speak to the JETS? Can you say "pay me more money, tampa bay"? Once again a New York team gets used to up some greedy athletes salery.
