    For those wondering, all ESPN said is already what has been mentioned in here, minus anything about the Jets.

    Packers offer *yada yada* to stay retired, merchandising deal, etc.

    There are two reports out.
    One saying Favre is considering to accept a deal that would keep him retired. Another saying Green Bay and Jets are in serious trade talks.

    I doubt that Favre would consider accepting that deal. He wants to keep playing. Besides taking 20 millions from Green Bay just to stay retired will make him lose many peoples respect for him.

    NFL network reporting the Jets and Farve talks are heating up, nothing about this alleged Marketing deal...

    Note this was during a "Breaking News Update" during the 11 pm showing of NFL Team Cam...

    So hope is not lost!!!!

    fuck...i read the first page of this thread and got excited...and by the time i got to page 5, i wanted to slit my wrists.

    Why do i have this feeling that Favre views the Jets as the "red-headed step child" of the NFL.

    I think a lot of these things on TV are re-run so it might depend on when the spots are first aired. Although maybe it's Favre flip-flopping again.
