The Broncos are expected to release FS John Lynch on Thursday, according to the Rocky Mountain News.
The paper calls San Diego a possible suitor, but Lynch wouldn't get what he wants there: a job as a three-down starter. Lynch is 37 in September, but could still help somewhere as a box safety. Teams in need of a hitter include St. Louis, Washington, Philadelphia, and possibly the Jets. Houston is deep at safety, but may also have interest due to Lynch's ties with Gary Kubiak.

Yes! The John Lynch Sweepstakes Part II!

Who do we have on the coaching staff that has ties to Lynch now?

Herm Edwards' relationship with Lynch helped us 4 years ago.

I would rather have Lynch than Favre!

    Yes!

good, maybe the voters will finally get it right by seeing Rhodes outperform Lynch in front of their eyes.

Eric Smith is just a younger, probably better version of Lynch at this point.

good safety depth at this point, and there isn't a bigger John Lynch fan on this board than me. Loved him since his days as a Buc. Have his jersey, always loved him making the pro-bowl except for last year - Rhodes really did deserve it.

He's a veteran leader who could fight for the spot with Eric Smith.

john lynch is garbage....i liked him in his prime, but he is no more
his play dropped off about 2 1/2 years ago...he is nothing more than a name
i watch the broncos...which was painful last year (roommate is a diehard fan)...he is old, slow, and can't cover
the broncos are thin and untalented at safety...if he can't keep his spot in denver he shouldn't stand a chance here

Look at it this way, we're guaranteed a pro bowl safety if we get Lynch!

Lynch: Man im so excited to play for the jets.

Rhodes: (gives him the stare down.)

Lynch: So hows camp been so far Kerry?

Kerry: (Punches Lynch square in the head)

Lynch: Ughhhhhh!!!!! Ohh my freakin head!

Kerry: Thats for stealing my spot in the pro bowl biatch!

Why are the Jets mentioned for every 37+ year old in the twilight of his career. First Favre and now Lynch??? Who is next? Dick Butkus???

Butkus is a bum, he never won a SB for the CBs or even made the POs.

I totally forgot we once got Steve Atwater. What a waste of time that was.
