need alot more runs not going to be able to match up here so its a good bet the pen allows at least a few more runs.
The Pirates are asking for 4 prospects, the Reds want at least 1 sure thing and a solid second prospect...I think you should lower your expectations a little bit. A double play would be nice here.
So give it to them. Both of these guys are in their primes and they would be actual upgrades rather then old broken down assholes like Ibanez. Are the Mets really using 3 pitchers in the 6th inning of a tie game? What's the plan here?
Your first point: We don't have much of a system because of the Santana trade (not that I have regrets). At this point, unless the Pirates come down to earth, Bay would cost at least Fernando Martinez, and I'm not sure what him being hurt does to that. Dunn would cost at least Jon Niese I assume...Unless we fully intend to win the World Series here, which is of course, statistically unlikely, I don't see how we can make those moves. We would have perhaps the worst farm system in baseball. And I'm guessing the plan is for Heilman to go 2. But yeah, I don't know. And right now, fuck.
Damn...I guess this one is done, or at least close to. The bullpen has really been sketchy lately. Like I said before though, were due on this one.
LaRussa lets Isringhausen hit with men on 2nd and 3rd and two outs, and then pulls him. He is a joke.
how can you spend 2 hours bashing a guy(justifiably so) and then say everything he does is rooted in logic?
I love how they say that "LaRussa wins", when all year they've been talking about how little managers ultimately matter. Gee, you think maybe he's been fortunate enough to have good players on his teams?
We're at the point where people should be critical of Beltran and praising Delgado...Don't know how that happened. I retract my writing off of this game.
