I'm happy we're in this game; with a scrub starter and us due for a loss, I was expecting the worst tonight...By the way, Randy Winn is on our radar according to Jayson Stark. I'd rather have Ibanez though.

I'm really enjoying the booth criticising LaRussa pretty much every 30 seconds.

 

LaRussa's idiocy forces him to burn his only lefthanded pinch hitter in the 5th inning. What a genius.

 

The best was when Gary pointed out how batting the pitcher 8th backfired...I really dislike the guy; he's far more concerned with his ego and reputation than winning--he's definitely the only manager who would let a writer have total access for a key 3 game series (the Bissinger book).

 

I didn't see this before...what's wrong with Ibanez? Batting in the .270s, decent power hitter...what are you expecting out of a trade?
